Webinar: ‘It is the mark of a truly intelligent person to be moved by statistics’ – George Bernard Shaw

WEBINAR & PRESENTATION SLIDES

Kathy Campbell, Director, Pair Education

This webinar will help to ensure that when reporting to key stakeholders (particularly Governors) you use statistics to illuminate your report rather than simply support the statements contained within. When looking at data the greatest moments are when we see a result pop up in a graph that tells us something new – the moment we realise we know something nobody else does. We now have the ‘pleasure’ of thinking about how to report our findings. Sharing spreadsheets, pivot tables, charts and lists of numbers may get you through the Governors meeting relatively unscathed but there will always be one person who asks that awkward question or spots the rogue piece of data – that irritating red herring. Kathy shares tried and tested tips on how to present your statistics (whatever they are telling you) in a way that will captivate your audience and, most importantly, ensure that they remember what you have shared weeks afterwards!
