Marketing and Communications Manager

Collegiate School is seeking a dynamic marketing professional to tell its unique school story to an audience of past, present and future families. The successful candidate will manage and direct the school’s external communications, and have a key role in student and staff recruitment.

Our school aim is to have happy children who work hard and achieve amazing things. These successes need to be celebrated, recorded and shared in order to encourage the next generation of students and their families to join our school community.

In November 2019 we were judged ‘Excellent in all areas’ by the Independent Schools Inspectorate, and we have waiting lists at many entry points. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking school with an established reputation for innovation and excellence.

The Marketing and Communications Manager will build on the school’s strong brand and digital presence, and be front and centre in promoting Collegiate as the school of choice for Bristol and South Gloucestershire families. This role will lead the school in all aspects of marketing, PR and communications, and be responsible for ongoing strategic review and development.

You will ensure that the brand personality is consistent with the wider objectives of the school. You will have oversight of major school events, ensuring that the school is presented well to all key stakeholders. This role will further develop the school’s communication links with its alumni, as well as fostering excellent relationships with members of the OC Society.

You will monitor the effectiveness and results of marketing campaigns, and ensure maximum visibility to prospective families. As an ambassador for the school, you will be involved in creating a first- class visitor experience and will build strong rapport with a broad range of stakeholders. This is an ideal position for an ambitious and motivated communications professional who can generate ideas and deliver results.

We are looking for a degree-educated individual, in possession of a professional qualification from a relevant Chartered Institute (PR, Internal Communications or Marketing). The successful candidate will be confident and articulate, possessing excellent communication skills. Experience within an Independent School is not essential, but an understanding of our school’s ethos and co-curricular offering is necessary.

This is a permanent full-time role, with a salary of £40,000 to £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience, reporting to the Head and working closely with the Admissions team. Benefits include 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays per year, lunch during term-time, free parking on site, a defined contribution pension scheme and discount on school fees in accordance with the staff remission policy.

To discuss this role, please contact: recruitment@collegiate.org.uk or visit https://www.tes.com/jobs/vacancy/marketing-and-communications-manager-bristol-city-of-1893688 to submit your CV.

Closing date for applications: Friday 21st July 2023.

Interviews are anticipated to take place soon afterwards.
