Digital Content Creator

St Mary’s School is looking for a pro-active, dynamic and creative Digital Content Creator to join our busy and growing team.

This is an exciting role which plays a key part in developing our digital strategy and in building the St Mary’s brand through digital and social media channels, to ensure it extends to a wide reach of prospective families. The Digital Content Creator will understand that effective marketing plays a vital role in the success of independent schools.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for turning creative ideas into compelling video and photographic content and a key element of this role will be to support the effective communication of the school’s aims and values, #smsspirit values as embodied in our TAKE CARE acronym and our new school motto, ‘Embrace, Empower, Excel’, through the content that is created and published.

The role will offer the opportunity for ownership of projects and key digital areas such as social media and the school website, with the overarching aim of generating new enquiries, maintaining high retention rates and ensuring an excellent customer journey from enquiry to first day of school.

Main Duties

• Planning, creation, scheduling and publishing of content across school social media channels.

• Shooting content for and creating professional videos for use through school marketing.

• Website copywriting and updates to keep the website current, and accurate and to maintain Google ranking (SEO).

• Creation of two weekly newsletters using Mailchimp.

• Photographing/videoing events and moments in school on an ad hoc and planned basis.

• To set up Facebook and Google Ad Campaigns.

• Build a library of media assets.

• Research upcoming technologies and, trends in online marketing, and suggest to Head of Marketing and Senior Leadership Team.

• To keep abreast of competitor activity online.

• As a role in a busy Marketing Team within an all-through school, you must be ready to turn your hand to whatever is required.

Marketing Manager

Chesham Prep is an independent, co-educational school for children aged from 3 to 13. The school is located in the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside next to a working farm and benefits from a large site and excellent facilities. From September 2023 the school will transition to a school for children aged 3 to 11 years and, due to demand, will welcome additional classes in Years 3 to 6 over the coming years.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced marketing and communications professional to make an impact by bringing the character and ethos of our school to life to help grow our pupil roll.

The Marketing and Communications Manager will oversee the delivery of high-impact recruitment and awareness campaigns for all parts of the school; Early Years, the Junior School (Years 1-4) and Senior School (Years 5-8).
They will also support the delivery of communications activities with current parents, pupils, staff, alumni and our local community to aid our retention, internal communications and outreach goals.

The ideal candidate will be someone who can combine creativity, communications and technical skills with the ability to manage marketing campaigns. Applicants should have solid marketing and communications experience in planning and executing both digital and traditional campaigns, be a confident writer, photographer and video editor, and be able to quickly turnaround stories and ideas, while managing multiple deadlines.

The post holder will report to the Headmaster and should be a motivated, creative, self-starter who is able to initiate and complete projects. They will have an exceptional grasp of customer service and be results-focussed. The role will involve working closely with the Headmaster, Bursar and other members of the Senior Management Team to develop and implement a strategic marketing plan that aligns with the School’s vision, values and strategic priorities.

We are looking to appoint someone who wants to be an active and engaged member of the staff team, willing to get involved in all areas of the busy life of the School.

Marketing & Social Media Assistant

We’re looking for a Marketing and Social Media Assistant to provide professional and effective support to our small in-house Marketing Department. This role in our marketing team focuses on the day to day running of social media channels, a weekly newsletter and the school website.
