We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Admission and Short Courses Manager at MPW Cambridge, to support the fulltime student admission process and fully manage our short course programmes. Based at MPW Cambridge the Admissions and Short Courses Manager will be responsible for admissions activity for our main courses includes marketing, building up relations with feeder schools and working alongside the international recruitment function based at Head Office. Marketing duties will cover local campaigns and working with the central marketing function at Head Office on some of the national and international digital campaigns that they manage for all three colleges in the group. There will be line management of a dedicated administrator and additional support is provided by the Front of House team, Registry and the Senior Leadership team. This is a fast-paced and varied role, with a great opportunity for progression for someone with strong sales experience in educational institutions.
About The Role
You will:
- Manage and coordinate the delivery of our existing short courses portfolio.
- Managing direct reports and other team members who have recruitment and/or course delivery duties as part of their role.
- Lead on enhanced local marketing activities and work closely with the Head Office Marketing team on both digital and printed media campaigns.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with feeder schools, education agencies, and other partners to increase the number of qualified applicants.
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy to attract and enrol students to our fulltime courses including Open Days, Communications and Advertising.
- Take an active role in the admission process, including initial enquiry handling, the evaluation of applications and interviewing of candidates – often undertaken by the Principal.
- Help maintain accurate records of applicant data and track enrolment numbers on our CRM platform Salesforce.
- Collaborate with academic departments to ensure that admission policies and procedures align with the college’s educational mission and values.
- Work to ensure that admission policies and procedures comply with the college’s policies and guidelines.
- Enquiry handling and oversight of dedicated team and allocated resource – monitoring and managing conversions
- Recruitment of additional tutors to our existing pool and advertising roles and work with employment agencies
- Following HR processes to on-board with pre-employment checks
- Collaborate with academic departments to develop and improve short course programs that align with the college’s educational mission and values
- Ensure that short courses meet quality standards and student satisfaction levels
- Manage the budget for short courses, including forecasting revenue and expenses and monitoring expenses
- Develop and maintain relationships with partners and stakeholders to increase participation in short courses
- Collect and analyse feedback from students and instructors to continually improve the delivery and effectiveness of short courses
About You
You have:
- Experience working in admission management, short courses management in a school/sixth form college or higher education setting
- Proven track record of successfully managing admission processes and short course programs, including achieving KPI and financial targets
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as commercial forecasting and financial reporting.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population and stakeholders IT skills to include a sound knowledge of MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel, and able to work with database and CRM systems
- Experience in managing social media, including PPC, brand management Excellent communication skills: oral and written, as well as excellent attention to detail
- Capacity to work efficiently in order to meet tight deadlines
- A comprehensive knowledge of the UK education system (GCSE, A Levels)
- Good knowledge of UKVI student visa requirements
- An understanding of UK university entrance procedures
