Director of Marketing and Admissions

Eastbourne College is seeking to appoint a director of marketing and admissions for the formulation and implementation of integrated marketing and admissions plans for Eastbourne College and St Andrew’s Prep (together ‘the Charity’) and for monitoring and improving every aspect of the two schools’ interface with the outside world.

Reporting directly to the headmaster, the successful applicant will be a key public face of the schools. This is an exciting position suited to a high-calibre individual who combines demonstrable leadership skills with an extensive communications background.

The post may attract an experienced professional from the independent education sector or might suit an exceptional individual with commercial experience gained outside the sector but who has an instinctive feel for the school’s customers and their needs, bringing with them the relevant skills to undertake this complex and exciting job.

This is a full-time position, all year round, necessitating flexibility when required to support promotional events.

Digital Marketing Administrator

The successful candidate will have a significant experience of social media management and excellent communication skills, be a capable photographer and have proven experience in an administrative role.  A working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop would be an advantage as would video/photography editing experience and a working knowledge of principles of SEO.

Director of Marketing and Admissions

This post will provide strategic direction and inspiring leadership for the School’s marketing and admissions activities.

Reporting directly to the Head, the Director of Marketing and Admissions will be instrumental in shaping the strategic direction of the School’s marketing and admissions vision.

The role has a significant strategic element to it and is pivotal to the future of the School, taking the lead in developing and delivering outstanding marketing and pupil recruitment strategies and building and maintaining excellent relationships with all key stakeholders, both internal and external.

The postholder will provide inspiring and motivational leadership for the existing Marketing and Admissions team, and be responsible for the development and implementation of the School’s Strategic Marketing Plan as well as the management of an operationally excellent marketing and admissions function.

The position will be suited to an experienced marketing, business development or sales/recruitment professional bringing with them commercial experience, gained inside or outside the education sector. Admissions Manager

Claremont School is an independent day and boarding school. The Nursery and the Prep School are based in St Leonards on Sea, and the Senior School is located in Bodiam, East Sussex. The school is non selective and welcomes children and young people from a large catchment area spanning 25 miles. In addition, one third of the students in the Senior School are international boarders.

We are currently seeking a talented and well organised Admissions Manager to join our busy office.  The Admissions Manager is of central importance to the recruitment of domestic and international students for both the Prep and the Senior Schools, and in maintaining and meeting target numbers. Under the direction of the Head of Admissions, the role of the Admissions Manager is to lead student enrolment functions, advise on maximising engagement with all stakeholders, and to deliver exceptional customer service. This role is crucial to the sustained growth of the schools and of Boarding, promoting Claremont as the school of choice in the local area, and delivering the Amazing Learning message that is at the centre of all that we do.

The Admissions Manager reports directly to the Head of Admissions and works closely with the Principal, Heads of School, Director of Boarding and Head of Marketing to ensure maximum recruitment and retention of students. The post holder will be expected to build a close working relationship with prospective parents, agents, teaching, administrative and other support staff in order to fully engage and involve the whole school community in the promotion of the Schools. Depending on experience, the Admissions Manager is expected to be or to become the UKVI authorising officer for Claremont, the Key Contact.

Social Media Manager

Brighton College is seeking to appoint a Social Media Manager (term-time only), to start in January 2023, working in our Marketing department.

Purpose of the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic Marketing Team. This is a term-time only position and the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering our Social Media Strategy for the whole School, from Nursery to Sixth Form.

Role Specification:
• Delivering the Brighton College Media Strategy
• Creating a Social Media Marketing Plan
• Managing all social media channels across the entire school: Nursery, Pre-prep, Prep and Senior
• Creating content to ensure that all channels remain lively and engaging throughout the year
• Ensuring key marketing messages for the School are delivered
• Delivering paid-for social media campaigns
• Keeping abreast with the latest social media trends and making recommendations on how the School can use each channel most effectively
• Taking photos at events, of daily school life and ensuring these are stored correctly on our photo management systems
• Ensuring professional photographs are used effectively on social media
• Liaising with the marketing teams in each part of the school to share relevant content for the newsletters and school magazines
• Working with staff to encourage them to create and share content
• Keeping a close eye on comments, likes and shares
• Reporting on the success of the social media channels over time

Hours of Work:
37.5 hours per week, working 08:30 – 17:00 Monday to Friday inclusive , with one-hour unpaid lunch break. There is the expectation that occasional weekend or evening work will be required.

Marketing and Communications Officer

We are now looking to expand our Marketing team and are seeking a confident and motivated Marketing and Communications Officer to help us tell our remarkable school story to a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Communications,  the successful candidate will have a passion and talent for marketing using digital channels and social media platforms.  They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a good nose for a story and creative flair. Flexibility and the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines are essential for this role as are excellent copywriting, editing and proofing skills and confidence working autonomously as well as part of a team.  Knowledge of content management systems, customer relationship marketing and working with websites and developers would be an advantage.  Whilst some experience of working in an educational environment would also be an advantage, it is more important that the successful candidate can demonstrate the required attributes, skills and experience.
