Admissions Assistant

Brentwood Senior School is an academically selective HMC co-educational independent school with small class sizes and a happy, ambitious and supportive staff team. It is part of Brentwood School, a 3-18 HMC school of 1900 pupils, just 20 minutes from London Liverpool Street.

We are seeking to appoint an Admissions Assistant who will support the administration of pupil records in our Senior School which includes a very extensive admissions process.

The successful candidate will have an excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills; the ability to prioritise and deal with numerous tasks at once, and will remain calm under pressure. Somebody with knowledge and experience of an Admissions office within an independent school would be preferable, but not essential.

The School’s MIS (Management Information System) is currently iSAMS. Experience of this software would be helpful, but not essential. Experience of other MISs and CRMs would also be advantageous.

The successful candidate will also work closely with the international Recruitment Manager to liaise with prospective boarding families and agents, arrange visits and interview appointments, process acceptance paperwork and contracts, and sensitive visa information.

Further to the above, candidates should have a good working knowledge of ICT and be confident with appropriate computing and IT procedures, including the Google suite, and to keep up-to-date with developments in these areas. The working hours for this role are 9am – 3pm (term-time only) plus two weeks in the school holidays.

Admissions and Marketing Lead

We are seeking to appoint an experienced, capable and reliable administrator to be responsible for the School Admissions and the Marketing of the School.

Capable of providing a professional, responsive service in a busy environment, you should be able to work independently and as a member of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a sharp eye for detail. Duties will include management of pupils’ admissions, lead and manage the School office and oversee the staff, and manage the school’s website and social networks.

Marketing and Communications Assistant

We have a new opportunity at Felsted within our Marketing department for a Marketing and Communications Assistant.

Our friendly and efficient Marketing team is responsible for the marketing activities that generate enquiries to support the student recruitment goals from Reception to Sixth form plus management of the website, PR, social media, print work, marketing events, market research, advertising, agent & feeder school liaison and external communications.

This newly created role will have responsibility for managing relationships with editors and journalists including writing press releases, assisting with the organisation of Open Days, support with updating the School website, social media and digital channels plus printing and graphics works.

It is essential that the successful person holds a good level of education (grade A*-C/9 to 5 GCSEs, or equivalent), has experience in using Adobe Creative Suite and social media together with excellent skills in creative writing, proofreading and managing multiple projects. International Recruitment Manager

We are seeking to appoint an International Recruitment Manager who will play a key role in the School’s boarding recruitment strategy with the objective being to build the reputation of the School around the world, and to set and meet recruitment targets, in relation to numbers as well as quality of applicants. The successful candidate will lead on international pupil recruitment.

The International Recruitment Manager will also have responsibility for devising and implementing a comprehensive international recruitment strategy, and will monitor and report on global trends in education.

Admissions Registrar (Senior Divisions)

The School requires, as soon as possible, an Admissions Registrar (Senior Divisions).

Due to ongoing expansion, the School’s is looking to recruit an Admissions Registrar to lead the Senior Divisions’ Admissions team, working closely with the Principal and the Admissions Registrar (Nursery & Preparatory Divisions). The Admissions Registrar is first point of contact for prospective families and has a significant role in student recruitment and retention.

The role calls for significant relevant experience in customer care, business acumen and an understanding of the world of independent education. Travel to overseas recruitment events will form part of the role, as will involvement in the New Hall Summer School. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the capability to interact with students. The ability to analyse data and be highly organised is essential. High levels of computer literacy and excellent administration skills are required. The newly appointed Registrar will bring energy and initiative, playing a key role in helping the School grow.

The salary range for this post is between £29,056 per annum to £34,235 per annum depending on qualifications and experience (at September 2020 rates).

We are looking for a passionate, energetic and committed Admissions Registrar to oversee the admissions of Years 9 to 12. The role will oversee pupil entry from initial enquiry, introduction, registration and interview to final admission, working closely with other key stakeholders to ensure transparency and accuracy across the admissions process.

Our Registrars play an integral role in being a prominent ambassador for the school with a warm, welcoming and professional predisposition, ensuring a friendly, confident and genuine commitment to deliver exceptional service to our customers.
