Director of Admissions

Queen’s Gate is a thriving GSA day school for girls aged 4 –18 and is ideally situated in Central London to take advantage of the many educational opportunities on offer.

We wish to appoint from March 2024 an exceptional individual to deliver our admissions programme for all entry points. Queen’s Gate prides itself on the warm welcome we offer all our prospective families, providing personable, individualised attention alongside a smooth, professional experience for the young women seeking to join our school. As a key member of our Operations Staff, the Director of Admissions will report to the Principal, and work closely with the Director of Junior School and Marketing Team. They will be supported by our Communications & Examinations Assistant. As well as overseeing all aspects of the admissions process, the Director of Admissions will also have the opportunity to contribute towards the strategic direction of the School. A light-hearted, aspirational school, Queen’s Gate places great emphasis on our originality and creativity, and our generosity of spirit. It is hoped that the successful candidate will be able to model those qualities and ensure our admissions process reflects our core values. Queen’s Gate is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Admissions Officer

Hours: Full time, 36 hours a week all year round.

Contract: Permanent Salary: From £29,000 – £35,000 pro rata (dependent on experience)

The Admissions Officer is a key role within our Admissions team, responsible for delivering an efficient and welcoming service to all stakeholders, most notably prospective parents and students and feeder schools. The aim is to provide a professional and comprehensive admissions service and to ensure that all prospective families receive a positive impression of the school. Working with the Registrar, the focus of this role is the 16 plus, sixth form admissions process and management of in year admissions. The successful candidate will manage the process of open days, applications and assessment of offers, including the induction process to welcome in new students. Outstanding IT skills, an enthusiasm for dealing with people and excellent administrative skills are key attributes.

Part Time Marketing & Communications Manager

Kew College Prep is an independent co-educational pre-prep and prep school for children aged 3 to 11 years. Based in Kew, West London, it is a friendly and family-orientated school which aims to prepare pupils for the modern world: balancing academic and pastoral care with creativity, exploration, and community.

We are looking to appoint a Marketing and Communications Manager to join us as soon as possible.

You will work with the Head and Registrar to develop and deliver the school’s marketing, communication and admissions strategy. The role includes website management, digital content creation for digital and social media platforms, termly admission newsletters, brand guardianship, data analytics, and communication channel management.

You will have previous marketing experience, ideally within the context of independent education. At your best working as part of a team, you’ll be enthusiastic and passionate about your work, be an effective communicator, have experience of managing websites and social media platforms and be able to create engaging digital and print content by means of imagery, text and video. You’ll also understand how to draw on data insights to inform our future marketing and communications activities.

A key focus of this role will be to promote the school’s activities and achievements across numerous platforms to enhance the school’s digital presence.

The role is term time plus 4 weeks during the school holidays (40 weeks per year). This is a permanent part-time position. Hours of work will be 16 to 24 hours per week (equivalent to two to three days 8.00 am – 4.30 pm), however, different working patterns are possible and we’re happy to discuss options at any stage of the application process. Admissions Registrar

Term Time + 4 weeks (total 38 weeks), 37 1/5 hours per week. Permanent contract.

You will have shared responsibility for the management of all elements of the pupil recruitment process from initial enquiry through to induction and will have solo focus on day-to-day support for our Bursary students.

Admissions Officer

Reporting to the Head of Admissions, the Admissions Officer will liaise with prospective parents from both the UK and overseas, ensuring a smooth transition to Marymount International School. Therefore, this position calls for a high level of relevant experience in customer care, and an understanding of the independent education sector.

Provide high level customer service via email, telephone, and face to face communications with prospective parents, agents, students, feeder schools and Marymount International School London’s wider network.

Admissions Assistant

Key Responsibilities
• Work under the direction of the Head of Admissions across all aspects of the school’s admissions process and pipeline management with a view to optimising conversion at every stage of the pipeline and ensuring retention levels are as high as possible.
• Ensure a retention approach exists for all ‘transition points’ within the school.
• Support with regular reporting & forecasting of data with accompanying insights and actions.

• Support the Head of Admissions in building relationships with feeder schools, estate agents, relocation agents, key partners, affiliates and influencers in the local community to support enrolments.
• Support the Head of Admissions with the monthly forecasting of admissions figures and compilation of ad-hoc reports to the school Senior Leadership Team as required.
• The ideal candidate will have great interpersonal skills, enjoys interacting with others and able to operate with autonomy and authority. You will have ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work well within a team.

Key Experience
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills • Ability to remain calm under pressure and work to tight deadlines, systematic
approach to tasks, with attention to detail.
• Confident and adept in use of Microsoft applications e.g. Word, Excel and various database systems
• Good levels of accuracy & attention to detail with own and other tasks
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to deal with people on all levels with sensitivity, tact and diplomacy.
• Prior experience of managing direct customer contact ideally in sales and customer service
• Previous experience of working in a complex, busy, service-driven environment
• Experience in use of customer database, customer relationship management tools and digital/online platforms
• An understanding of the highly competitive school’s marketplace would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of 11+ and 13+ entry requirements for schools.
