Head of International Relations

Sidcot School is currently seeking a Head of International Relations to join our community.

Set in rolling Somerset hills, Sidcot School is an independent, co-educational Quaker international boarding school for students aged 3 – 18. Founded in 1699, Sidcot is administered on the Quaker principles of truth, integrity, respect, simplicity, equality, and sustainability. These Quaker practices are an essential part of Sidcot School life, incorporated in the whole of the teaching in the School. Its legacy of enlightened education (Sidcot was one of first co-educational boarding schools in the UK) continues to produce motivated, curious and purposeful young people today.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of International Relations to further Sidcot’s global profile, strategically growing the School’s roll in its boarding markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering and developing first-rate relationships with prospective and current parents, students, agents, feeder schools, alumni and staff through the delivery and articulation of Sidcot’s vision, values and ethos.

This role will most likely suit an experienced professional with a proven track record within a customer-services, sales and marketing related context. The successful candidate will have a keen appetite for international travel, coupling entrepreneurial and commercial instincts with the ability to work well as part of a team. Experience of working within an educational environment is not vital for the role, though it will best suit someone with an instinctive feel for the independent boarding market. The successful candidate will relish undertaking and interpreting market analysis to inform strategy. They will be financially literate and target-driven. They will also be dynamic, focused and a sound ambassador for the School in-market.

The closing date for applications is Monday 16th January 2023 at 9.00am UK time. First round of interviews will be held online on Wednesday 25th January 2023; second round will be in person in School on 1st February 2023.

Please apply via the School website.
