Oakham School is one of the largest co-educational Boarding and Day Schools in the country. It has over 1,000 pupils ranging in age from 10 – 18 years, of whom 50% are boarders, accommodated in 10 Boarding Houses and 6 Day Houses.
An opportunity has arisen for a full time Admissions Officer to work within our busy Admissions Department, on a fixed term contract to 31 March 2022. The position is fixed term, pending the outcome of an Admissions review, following the appointment of the School’s new Director of Admissions in September 2021.
The Admissions Officer will support the department with a wide range of duties relating to all aspects of work in the admissions office. The Admissions Officer will liaise with and support prospective families with the admissions process to the School and will support the Director of Admissions in coordinating the department’s activity.
The successful candidate will have a strong eye for detail and precision and will have previous experience in a customer facing role, together with excellent administrative and communication skills. A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office is expected and experience of working with iSAMS would be an advantage but is not essential.
