You will be someone educated to degree level or with substantial relevant experience, an excellent understanding of marketing, excellent administrative and IT skills and attention to detail.  A recognised marketing qualification and previous school experience would be an advantage.

Assistant Registrar

We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Registrar to work 28 hours a week for 37 weeks per year. However, there is flexibility in the working hours during the week, over a minimum of 37 weeks

The Assistant Register will be responsible for working together with the Registrar and colleagues to provide key administrative and customer facing support in a highly successful and dynamic department. The Assistant Registrar will provide administrative support for all the admissions processes and procedures, dealing with prospective families, and school staff, and being involved at times in tours. The post holder will also assist at Open Days and other admissions events.

What we are looking for:

  • Someone with experience of delivering excellent customer service and be able to interact positively and effectively with prospective parents and pupils, current pupils and staff
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Excellent knowledge of using Microsoft Office to an advanced level
  • Exceptional written and oral communications skills

Admissions Officer

Bede’s is an outstanding independent School located in East Sussex and we require an experienced Admissions Officer to join our thriving School.

As part of the Trust Admissions Team, the focus of this role is to lead the recruitment of outstanding pupils’ at the Prep School. Alongside this you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Admissions office, providing an efficient and friendly service to all internal and external customers.

The successful candidate will be highly organised with an eye for detail. They will be experienced in delivering outstanding customer service, exceeding targets and will have worked in a School and/or Marketing environment previously.

The appointment is permanent, working 40 hours per week all year round.

Marketing & Admissions Manager

We are seeking an experienced, creative and highly motivated individual to join our existing team to implement the School’s marketing and communications strategy. This new role is a key position within the School and the successful candidate will be central in delivering the School’s strategic marketing, communications and pupil recruitment plans.

Working closely with the Director of Development, the successful applicant will extend the profile, reputation and awareness of Mayfield locally, nationally and internationally through focused initiatives to deliver the School’s pupil recruitment objectives, building positive brand awareness. In collaboration with the Registrar, they will co-ordinate and deliver the School’s programme of engagement activities with feeder schools and will be responsible for the production of the School’s suite of publications in print and digital, building strong relationships with a range of outlets.

Applicants will come from a Marketing background and ideally will have some experience of the Independent School Sector. They will be able to deliver high quality written content and be skilled relationship builders, with the professionalism to represent Mayfield. They will have demonstrable experience of creating and delivering marketing strategies and be confident to deliver those to senior stakeholders. They will have excellent analytical skills, be an experienced team manager and strong team player. Salary will be dependent on experience and skills.

Mayfield is a leading independent Catholic boarding and day school for 400 girls aged 11-18 years, set in 75 acres of beautiful Sussex countryside, less than 50 miles from London, 40 minutes from Gatwick and 15 minutes from the charming historic town of Tunbridge Wells.

Director of Admissions

Applications are invited for the post of Director of Admissions at Lancing College with effect from January 2021 (or as soon as possible thereafter).

Lancing is one of the UK’s leading independent co-educational boarding and day schools with a reputation for excellence. The College, which admits pupils from the age of 13, is seeking to appoint an energetic and forward thinking individual to provide dynamic leadership to the Admissions Office and fulfil a key ambassadorial role.

A member of the Senior Management Team, the post holder will work closely with the Director of External Relations and Communications, to maximise the recruitment of a full list of pupils for entry each September, filling all available spaces in Houses and building a waiting list for future years. The role of Director of Admissions is a demanding and wide-ranging senior post requiring a proactive and outgoing approach. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to form strong relationships are essential. 

This exciting leadership position will most likely be suited to an experienced professional from within the independent schools’ sector with a proven track record within an admissions related context. This could be directly from a Registry function, or indirectly via hands-on involvement with customer facing aspects of the admissions process, for example as a Housemaster/mistress or another senior role within a senior or prep school. The successful applicant will possess the ability to assess the range of capabilities and potential of prospective pupils aged 10 – 18 years.

The salary will be commensurate with the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate but will be highly attractive.

Marketing Manager

Farlington is an independent day and boarding school for pupils aged four to eighteen in Horsham, West Sussex, England. Originally a girls’ school, Farlington is now entering an exciting phase in its 125 year history as it welcomes boys into most year groups throughout the school.

The. Marketing Manager will be responsible for the marketing and communication strategy to support local, national and international recruitment at Farlington.

Working in close partnership with the Admissions team and with support from the Bellevue marketing team, the Marketing Manager will lead on the implementation of initiatives and activities that drive recruitment and promote word of mouth and parent satisfaction.

This is a full-time, year round position. The successful candidate must be able to commit to working occasional weekends and late evenings as and when required.

Head of International Recruitment

Claremont School in East Sussex is looking to employ an experienced Head of International Student Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the recruitment of international students, ensuring targets are met in relation to boarding numbers at the School, and will already have outstanding contacts in the sector.

This is a key ambassadorial role with the scope to further enhance the School’s already excellent reputation locally and internationally.
