The AMCIS Diploma in School Admissions Management is recognised by independent schools as the only sector specific qualification for admissions personnel, the Diploma is highly regarded and sought after.

As the sector has evolved, so has the role of admissions in schools, and as such the Diploma in School Admissions Management delivers the most cutting edge, relevant, informative and up to date course for those looking to gain experience and knowledge of admissions in the Independent Schools sector today.  Designed to equip admissions personnel with an in depth understanding of the processes of Admissions Management and provide a framework within which to effectively manage the success of their school’s admissions programme.  The course provides an opportunity for candidates to assess their own skill for the role and take time out to reflect on current practise and examine new ideas and approaches.

The Diploma in School Admissions Management has been developed as a course for those currently working in admissions roles in an independent school.  Ideally suited to those new to the admissions role but also those who have taken on an increased admissions responsibility and need to expand their knowledge and develop their skills.  For those with more experience, the Diploma allows time to reflect on and consolidate their knowledge and skills and ultimately gain a formal qualification.

Candidates need to be mindful that the assignments are relevant to admissions and recruitment and require input and data directly from these departments.

Part 1: One day immersive, online course looking at all aspects of Admissions Management – Thursday 19 October 2023 FULLY BOOKED

Online via the Zoom Meetings platform, 9.30am – 4.30pm

Candidates will be required to complete and successfully pass a set assignment following attendance at the Part 1 course.

Part 2:

Online via the Zoom Meetings platform

Candidates are required to select and attend three workshops from the following six workshops:

• International recruitment – Thursday 18 January 2024, 9.30 – 12.30
• Retention, recruitment and beyond – Thursday 18 January 2024, 13.30 – 16.30 
• Auditing – Thursday 8 February 2024, 9.30 – 12.30
• Structuring your team – Thursday 8 February, 13.30 – 16.30
• Event Management – Thursday 7 March 2024, 9.30 – 12.30 
• Statistics – Thursday 7 March 2024, 13.30 – 16.30

Candidates will be required to complete and successfully pass a set assignment following attendance at each of the three workshops.

In addition, candidates are required to select and attend one workshop from the following two workshops:

• The small print – safeguarding, policies, T&Cs, visas – Thursday 21 March 2024, 9.30 – 11.30
• The entrance procedure – Scholarships, Bursaries, Awards, Assessments – Thursday 21 March, 13.30 – 15.30 

Candidates will NOT be required to complete an assignment following attendance at these workshops.
