Development Administrator

Epsom College, a dynamic and successful independent co-educational day and boarding school on the edge of Epsom Downs, is looking to recruit a Development Administrator to play an integral role in raising funds and awareness. The campaign is in its public phase and the post holder will work closely with the Development Director, building on the platform created to date.

This is an exciting time to join the College and the Development Department. We are seeking an experienced administrator to play an integral role in completing our biggest capital campaign for over 160 years. The £9.4 million campaign is in its public phase and the post holder will support the Director of Development, to ensure this and ongoing fundraising developments are a success.

The successful applicant will be from a strong administrative background, with excellent communications skills and the proven ability to write to a high standard and experience of developing social media channels for effective communication. Strong IT skills are essential and experience of working with fundraising applications would be useful. A background in supporting finance, marketing or events is highly desirable, as the role will include organising events and working with databases and financial systems.

  • Processing all registration applications accurately and in a timely fashion
  • Scheduling assessment appointments and preparing assessment/interview sheets
  • Emailing appointment chasers as appropriate
  • Maintaining an up to date vacancy register
  • Updating information on the School database when appropriate
  • Electronic filing of correspondence eg acceptance emails
  • Attending all relevant events, Open Day, Information Mornings, Entrance Exams (all Saturdays) as well as some evening events
  • Assisting with the preparation for and organisation of assessment and tour days
  • Assisting with the production of appropriate literature and presentations

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • Term time: 08:00 – 17:00, Monday – Friday, with one hour for lunch which is unpaid
  • School holidays: 08.30– 15:30 Monday to Friday, with half an hour for lunch which is unpaid
  • Required attendance: As part of the contracted hours, the post holder will be required to attend Open Day, Information and Mornings, Entrance Examinations (all Saturdays) as well as some evening events. Please note that time in lieu and additional payment will not be offered for these days.
  • Holiday: 30 days to be taken during school holidays, and in such a manner that the Admissions Office is permanently staffed throughout the year, except for bank holidays when the entire School is closed. Due to the nature of the workload in the Admissions Office the vast majority of holiday needs to be taken during Easter, May half term and the Summer break.

Admissions Administrator

Short term, part-time Admissions Administrator – with potential for longer term opportunity

Northwood Schools Admissions Administrator/Registrar – short-term, two-three month contract with potential to transition to longer-term opportunity

Northwood Schools – comprising Broomwood Hall Lower School (co-ed 4-8), Broomwood Hall Upper School (girls 8-13), Northcote Lodge (boys 8-13), and Northwood Senior, (co-ed 11-16), is looking for someone to help in our busy Admissions department this summer.

The impending departure of our Registrar creates a short-term need (but also a potential longer-term opportunity) for someone who is interested in and/or experienced in Admissions within Independent schools. Previous experience would be highly desirable, but a broad appreciation and understanding of the sector, particularly within the London area, would also be advantageous.

The role would mean being the voice of the group – i.e. you would be the first point of call for parents interested in our schools, so excellent communication skills – along with a confident approach to IT, including excel and data entry are essential. Experience of CMS/school databases would be useful.

Whilst this is a short-term post, there is potential for this role to transition into a longer-term opportunity for the right person.

Ideally, we are looking for someone who can work from 10:00-2:00 pm, Monday to Friday, although we can be flexible.

Salary negotiable and dependent on experience.

Marketing and Events Administrator

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a busy marketing function in a leading independent school in the heart of Harrogate. The position is suited to a person who thrives in an environment where no two days are the same.  If you are exceptional at multi-tasking, highly organised and are interested in working in lively surroundings with children aged 2-18 then this could be the new role for you.

This is a customer-facing role with prospective pupils and parents and so you should be well presented, positive and responsive.  In addition, you should have an excellent attention to detail with strong IT skills and experience of working with databases.

Maternity Cover June – December 2021

We are looking for an organised, efficient and enthusiastic Admissions Administrator to provide general administrative support and to assist in the smooth running of the admissions department.

Wycombe Abbey has been at the forefront of girls’ boarding education for more than 120 years. The Admissions team is responsible for the pupil recruitment and selection process for boarding and day girls at 11+, 13+ and 16+. The department manages a large volume of enquiries and visits to the School and the Admissions Administrator plays a vital role in all communications with prospective families.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced administrator who is looking to be involved in a professional and busy school community. The role requires excellent organisation and communication skills, a good telephone manner, database experience, an ability to work accurately under pressure and to multi-task across all aspects of administration. Knowledge of iSAMS would be an advantage.

Hours: 09.00 – 17.00 (or 08.30 – 17.00) Monday to Friday, hours include a 1-hour unpaid lunch break. Some evening and weekend work will be required to support Admissions events, for which time off in lieu may be taken.

Salary: £22,000 – £25,000 (pro rata)
