Admissions Officer

ADMISSIONS OFFICER

37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum

Salary: £28,275 per annum

Required July 2022

Applications are invited for the post of Admissions Officer at The Royal Masonic School for Girls (RMS).  Reporting to the Head of Admissions (HoA), the post holder will be responsible for supporting the Admissions department and will be expected to take the lead on the recruitment of pupils into the school, but also be part of a wider team that has a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

The role will require excellent attention to detail, customer-focussed communication skills as well as the ability to manage, analyse and present data to support the Admissions and Marketing function, ensuring the department meets the required recruitment targets.

With a tenacious desire for results the Admissions Officer will be articulate and persuasive and develop excellent relationships with prospective families, feeder schools, educational agents and consultants through the delivery of a first-class admissions process.

Head of Marketing and Admissions

Oswestry School seeks a Head of Marketing and Admissions to play a pivotal role in leading on all marketing and admissions activities and delivering the key departmental objectives: maximising recruitment of pupils to the School, whilst also enhancing the School’s relationship with current parents and the wider school community. The role combines both strategic thinking with day to day marketing activity.

Responsibilities would include keeping the Marketing & Admissions Strategy under review and update on an annual basis; to plan and implement national and international marketing initiatives; to ensure that the School communicates in a consistent, accurate, professional and prompt manner with all key audiences; management of the school’s website; creating high-quality content for marketing and admissions collateral, working with external designers and agencies as required; to manage and lead the School’s presence on social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, ensuring accuracy and relevance across the board; keeping up-to-date with advances in social media technology.
monitor the media, online and offline, maximising opportunities for positive PR; to act as ‘brand guardian’ and maintain brand assets; ensuring the internal communications messaging and branding is consistent across all platforms and in line with external communication messaging; to carry out other such duties as may be reasonably required relating to the job as asked by the Line Manager

The Head of Marketing and Admissions is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the Headmaster and the postholder will be expected to attend senior leadership team meetings. There are currently three members of the Marketing and Admissions team: Director of (overseas) Admissions, (domestic) Registrar, and Alumni Relations Manager. Each works less than full time and will be line managed by the Head of Marketing and Admissions. It is expected that a marketing and admissions assistant (or similar) will be appointed by the postholder.
