We are currently looking for a strong administrator to provide a bespoke administrative service to the Headmistress and the EA to the Headmistress on a 1-year maternity cover contract. This position would suit an applicant with PA experience or a new graduate wishing to gain experience in School administration.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised, professional and able administrator to provide a bespoke administrative and secretarial service to the Headmistress and the EA to the Headmistress. Duties will include the production of accurate and clearly laid-out documents, diary management, maintenance of filing systems, minute-taking and other related tasks.
The appointed candidate will be an efficient and accurate administrator who thrives in a busy environment. You will be a strong communicator with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality and remain calm under pressure. Ability to prioritise workload and adhere to deadlines is essential. Knowledge and understanding of a boarding environment is an advantage as well as a genuine commitment to Wycombe Abbey’s aims and ethos.
This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday 08:00 – 16:30, on a 1-year maternity cover contract.

Admissions Events Coordinator
We are looking for an organised, efficient and enthusiastic Admissions Events Coordinator to join Wycombe Abbey’s busy Admissions Department. This position would suit a graduate wishing to gain experience in School Admissions or an applicant with events experience.
Wycombe Abbey has been at the forefront of girls’ boarding education for the last 125 years. Superb academic outcomes are the School’s hallmark and pupils regularly secure places at the most prestigious universities across the globe. The Admissions team is responsible for the pupil recruitment and selection process for boarding and day girls at 11+, 13+ and 16+. The department manages a large volume of enquiries and visits to the School and the Admissions Administrator plays a vital role in all communications with prospective families.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced administrator, who wishes to be involved in a professional and busy school community with proven experience of planning large and successful events. The role requires excellent organisational, communication and presentation skills, database experience, an ability to work accurately under pressure and to multi-task across all aspects of administration and event organisation. The successful candidate will have a keen understanding of excellent customer service, marketing and an ability to engage with all stakeholders throughout the School.
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 52 weeks per year. Hours include a 1-hour unpaid lunch break. 9.00am to 5.30pm or 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday plus some evening and weekend work to support Admissions events.

Millfield Prep School is seeking to appoint an Admissions Co-ordinator to support the work of the Director of Admissions (Prep). The successful applicant will report directly to the Director of Admissions (Prep) and work alongside the part-time Admissions Assistant to ensure successful recruitment of pupils to the Pre-School, Pre-Prep and Prep. The Admissions Co-ordinator will be a passionate advocate for Millfield and our vision to be the world leader for the development of children. She/he will be a prominent ambassador for the school, combining a genuine commitment to customer service and strong market knowledge with excellent administrative and organisational skills. We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our existing team to provide a warm, welcoming and professional admissions experience for prospective pupils and parents.
The Admissions Co-ordinator will play a key role in supporting the recruitment of pupils at Mayfield, undertaking all aspects of admissions administration, including responding to enquiries in writing and by phone, planning Open Mornings, personal visits and taster days, entrance and scholarships assessments and engagement events.
The successful candidate will have excellent administration and time management skills. They will have the ability to communicate with professionalism and warmth (both verbally and in writing) and demonstrate outstanding standards of customer service. Candidates will be one of Mayfield’s key ambassadors for prospective families, feeder schools and educational consultants and agents so a commitment to excellence is essential.
This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week) and there will be a requirement for the successful candidate to undertake some work outside of standard school hours including weekends (with time of in lieu).

This is a busy ‘hands on’ role which entails a range of responsibilities and requires a flexible and intelligent approach.
