Marketing & Communications Officer (Maternity Cover)
One year contract: May 2021 start
Part time – 25 hours per week
Claremont School is a happy, successful and forward-thinking independent school offering a unique learning environment for children aged 3 months to 18 years. Judged by Ofsted as ‘Outstanding’ in all areas in March 2019 for a third successive time, Claremont is a thriving school with a unique atmosphere, welcoming students from all walks of life. The Senior School at Bodiam, now in its 10th year since it was founded, reports consistent rises in A level performance and has a growing reputation as a centre of excellence for the Creative and Performing Arts; and as we look ahead to Centenary celebrations at the Prep School and multi-phase site development plans at the St Leonards-on-Sea site, to include the unveiling of a fabulous new Nursery and Pre-Prep building in Spring 2021, we have come a long way and have much to look forward to.
We are now seeking a confident and motivated Marketing and Communications Officer to help us continue to tell our remarkable school story to a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Communications, the successful candidate will have a passion and talent for marketing using digital channels and social media platforms, have outstanding copywriting and editing skills, a nose for a story and a keen eye for detail. They will have excellent interpersonal and time management skills, be able to prioritise and work to tight deadlines and be confident in working autonomously, and as part of a small but ambitious team. Experience of working with content management systems and customer relationship marketing would be an advantage, and whilst some experience of working in an educational environment would be desirable, it is more important that the successful candidate can demonstrate the required attributes, skills and experience, as they will need to be able to hit the ground running.
Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience
Hours: Flexible, term-time only (approximately 25 hours per week)
