Deputy Head of Admissions

Bedales seeks an exceptional individual to join the school’s Admissions team, working closely with the Head of Bedales and the Head of Admissions, with particular responsibility for student recruitment for the senior school, Bedales, co-located with Bedales’ Prep and Pre-Prep schools, (Dunhurst and Dunannie) in 120 acres of South Downs National Park.

You will build strong and lasting relationships with prospective parents and students, delivering on objectives to ensure Bedales School operates at full capacity whilst ensuring that all enquirers and applicants receive a positive impression of the school. As a prominent public representative of the school, you will excel in customer service and be a firm believer in the ethos of the school.

This is a pivotal post, key to the continued growth and development of the school. It is essential that you have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are able to maintain a high level of efficiency and be calm, confident and professional with a variety of audiences. You will also be expected to attend whole school events to gain a thorough understanding of the academic and pastoral experiences that students can expect when coming to Bedales. A sound understanding of independent education, boarding, overseas recruitment, SEN and the curriculum would be a distinct advantage, but above all you must be kind, warm, engaging, friendly and personable.

The hours of work will be Monday to Friday, equivalent to 37.5 hours per week, plus an additional 7 weeks of 20 hours per week pre and post term, plus up to 10 additional Saturdays per annum.

Deputy Registrar (Full Year)

The Deputy Registrar, together with the Admissions team, will be responsible for the smooth running of the admissions process, from initial enquiries through to registration and eventual enrolment.  The Deputy Registrar is required to be knowledgeable about the Roedean Group of Schools and able to respond to queries quickly and efficiently.  The Deputy Registrar is required to provide full and detailed regular reports to the Director of Admissions, outlining market and recruitment trends.

We are seeking a talented individual who is educated to degree level or has substantial experience in admissions and a basic understanding of marketing.  Experience of working in an Independent School Admissions Department would be desirable.  Due to the nature of the role there will be a requirement to attend events outside the normal working week.

Whilst the role would suit someone with experience, we are also keen to attract applicants whose experience may not, as yet, cover all aspects of the role.  We will provide tailored mentoring and training to support the development of skills needed at this level.

Deputy Registrar

Ardingly College are seeking to recruit a customer focused individual to join the Admissions team as Deputy Registrar. This role is integral to the College and supports the Registrar in all aspects of admissions in the Senior Middle School, particularly on the critical 13+ entry.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Admissions and Registrar to support the organisation of 13+ Assessment and Activity days, organising and hosting of events, liaising with existing and prospective families and providing necessary administrative support including the generation of data reports.

We are looking for candidates who are experienced in customer service and have ideally worked within the education sector. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential, resilience in a busy and demanding environment, strong attention to detail and good IT skills.

The hours are 40 hours per week, for 52 weeks per year. The salary will be in the region of £30,000 per annum.

Deputy Admissions Manager

Lancing College is seeking to recruit a full time Deputy Admissions Manager to work within the College.

To support the Director of Admissions and the Admissions Manager in delivering an efficient and effective admissions service and provide support for all duties and responsibilities related to the Admissions office. The post holder will be primarily responsible for Year 9 entry but will also assist with other year groups as required.
