Rossall School seeks to appoint an aspirant, experienced person to the role of Director of External Relations.

The successful applicant will lead an outstanding team focussed upon developing and enhancing the brand perception of Rossall School, furthering its regional, national and global profile and continuing to grow the school’s roll so as to ensure a sustainable operation for the future.

The Director of External Relations provides assured strategic leadership across these areas.

Director of External Relations

With a growing school roll (currently 430) and looking towards the School’s 300th anniversary in 2024-25, the School is looking to appoint a Director of External Relations. As head of a department of two people, under the direction of the Head, the DoER will have oversight of admissions & student recruitment; marketing; advertising & branding; communications & publishing; feeder & partner school liaison; events; and relationships with alumni, parents and friends of the School. The DoER will act as the School’s (temporary) Tier 4 Authorising Officer.

Experience of boarding and day student recruitment (international, national and local); knowledge of strategic marketing and the creation and implementation of marketing plans; UKVI SMS administration; first class communication and relationship building skills; flexible working hours; and a desire to travel (both in the UK and internationally) are essential. The role is full time and permanent.

Rishworth School is an independent, 3-19, co-educational, boarding and day school situated in a stunning Pennine valley of West Yorkshire, just 40 minutes from Manchester Airport.
