Senior Marketing and Events Officer

Salary: FTE £29,000 – £34,000 (Pro-rata £23,200–£27,200) according to qualifications and experience

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Part time – 28.8 hours per week, all year round

Exciting opportunity for a creative marketing professional to use their relationship building and organisational skills to play a key role in the effective delivery of the marketing, events and alumnae relations strategy of Blackheath High School.

Experience of event management is essential as the successful candidate will be responsible for the quality and organisation of both admissions and alumnae events, ensuring that they fulfil the aims and objectives of the school’s marketing and PR plans.

The role involves supporting the Marketing Director to develop a plan to build meaningful relationships with alumnae through events and communications, cultivate the reputation of the school, raise funds and drive student numbers.

Proven organisational and inter-personal skills, together with excellent ICT and social/digital media skills, are equally important. Experience of fundraising would be advantageous.

Admissions & Events Manager

Duties will include the production of accurate and clearly laid-out documents, diary management, maintenance of filing systems, minute-taking and other related tasks.

Admissions Events Coordinator

We are looking for an organised, efficient and enthusiastic Admissions Events Coordinator to join Wycombe Abbey’s busy Admissions Department. This position would suit a graduate wishing to gain experience in School Admissions or an applicant with events experience.

The Admissions team is responsible for the pupil recruitment and selection process for boarding and day girls at 11+, 13+ and 16+. The department manages a large volume of enquiries and visits to the School and the Admissions Administrator plays a vital role in all communications with prospective families.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced administrator, who wishes to be involved in a professional and busy school community with proven experience of planning large and successful events. The successful candidate will have a keen understanding of excellent customer service, marketing and an ability to engage with all stakeholders throughout the School.

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 52 weeks per year. Hours include a 1-hour unpaid lunch break. 9.00am to 5.30pm or 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday plus some evening and weekend work to support Admissions events.

Marketing and Events Co-Ordinator

Marketing and Events Co-Ordinator – Full time position

Salary: £20-25K per annum

 King’s College and King’s Hall School is a thriving, co-educational, independent boarding and day school for children from two to 18 years. King’s Hall School has approximately 300 children from 2 to 13 and King’s College which has approximately 490 pupils from 13 to 18. Reporting to the Director of Admissions and Marketing and Marketing Manager, the Marketing and Events Co-Ordinator will work all year round and co-ordinate sales and marketing activities to deliver the maximum number of enquiries to King’s College and King’s Hall School while maintaining the culture of both School communities.

He or she needs a range of essential skills and experience, including:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills – ability to communicate confidently and effectively with a wide range of people
  • Excellent written skills – must be able to demonstrate the ability to write and edit copy for different audiences (website articles, social media posts, press releases, newsletters, emails, letters)
  • The ability to support the Admissions team and Marketing Manager to arrange, promote and run events
  • Friendly, confident and outgoing personality to support sales team at exhibitions and events (with the potential for international travel)
  • Understanding/knowledge of the sales funnel and experience of relationship marketing
  • Experience of using digital media: website content management (CMS platforms) and social media content management
  • Demonstrable IT skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access); use of bespoke databases
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Bring creativity and innovation, asking questions and generating ideas
  • Self-motivated – ability to work autonomously, to multi-task and prioritise on a daily basis in a busy and dynamic environment
  • Sales/marketing experience

Desirable, but not essential skills are:

  • Design skills – use of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat)
  • Photography skills
  • Copy writing and/or proofreading skills
  • Knowledge of the independent education sector

Alumnae and Events Officer
