Digital Marketing Executive

ACS International Schools is seeking a Digital Marketing Executive to support the Marketing & Development team across all aspects of digital marketing – SEO, website, paid digital campaigns, content development, asset creation and staying abreast of new trends to ensure ACS is ahead of the curve in the education sector.

Main Responsibilities:
Work with the Digital Manager to update the website with new pages, news articles, job adverts, images and video content.
Support the set-up of Paid Social campaigns (Knowledge of Facebook Ads, Google Ads, Linked In, YouTube)
Support with content development including blogs, videos, listings, podcasts etc. Manage graphic design projects which can be done in-house, e.g., promotional flyers, logos, PDF brochures.
Support management of social media channels and posting with knowledge of new channels and trends Edit video content and post to the relevant channels.
Keep abreast of digital marketing best practices and trends (CTA, Headers, Optimisation)
Use Google Analytics (G4) to anaylse data and make recommendations to the team.
Support with content capturing including images and videos for social media.
Work with the development team to plan and implement content to engage and nurture our thriving alumni community to include the community website, social media accounts, webpages, case studies, newsletters and other adhoc digital initiatives.
Project manage and develop graphic assets for fundraising marketing campaigns and liaise with fundraising team and campus marketing champions on requirements.
Report on digital performance including use of web tools such as Google Analytics, SEO and social media tools Monitor and report on competitor digital content and activity, particularly on other schools digital and social fundraising activities.
Ensure understanding of the independent school and education sector and latest developments in digital content usage

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
Ability to work in teams and project manage independently.
Experience of content development and publishing for social media platforms
Experience of online charity/alumni programme marketing (not essential)
Track record in CMS management
Good SEO knowledge
Google analytics experience
Good IT skills – Google suite and Microsoft packages

Sedbergh School and Casterton, Sedbergh Prep School are seeking a highly professional, motivated and positive person to join their busy Marketing team.

The post provides a great opportunity to join an award-winning marketing team at an exciting time as we approach our 500th year in 2025, planning to launch the Sedbergh School App in September and begin working on a new website.

Both the Senior and Prep School have grown considerably over the last five years and the Senior School is widely regarded as the pre-eminent boarding school in the North of England, it is placed in the top 10% of Schools for academic value-added and has featured in most major national sports finals in the last few years. Music, drama and the arts are all strong.

The Digital Marketing Executive will be responsible for developing all aspects of the School’s online presence and optimising the existing digital channels.

There is also a requirement for producing digital media (video, GIF and digital display ads) and traditional print media for both internal and external use. The successful candidate will work closely with key stakeholders to produce high quality assets in a range of formats and media types.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Managing all of the School’s websites
Managing the new Sedbergh School app
Creating a content strategy and proofreading online content, ensuring pages are up-to-date
Optimising content considering SEO and Google Analytics
Managing all social media advertising
With support from an external agency – manage Google Adwords (PPC & Remarketing)
Develop and roll out digital marketing campaigns in support of School marketing activity and events.
Populate the content management system and monitor & analyse ‘traffic’ to site and other related mediums.
Coordinating web projects across departments.
Maintaining a consistent look and feel throughout all websites in conjunction with the Marketing Director.
Working with a cross-departmental team, maintaining and developing the master content calendar for all web properties.
Remain current with emerging web technologies, media trends and developments, advise the team and wider school community as necessary
Assure web-based information is archived for future needs and reference.
Track and report monthly on all site metrics

Qualifications:

Degree in marketing or relevant experience.
Knowledge and Experience:

Good knowledge of SEO best practices and implementation

St Chris is looking for an enthusiastic communications professional to make an impact by telling our story and to support the recruitment of students to our progressive forward thinking school.

Job Purpose

This is a key role, and crucial to the successful development of the School’s communications strategy. Key Accountabilities

  • Work closely with teaching staff to develop student and alumni profiles and success stories.

Person Specification

  • A degree or recognised marketing qualification is desirable, but not essential;
  • 1-2 years’ experience working in a content/marketing executive role or similar;

Terms & Conditions

Hours of work: This is a full time, permanent, on-site position, starting as soon as possible. The core hours of work are 8.00am – 5.00pm, although there will be a requirement to attend key School events and Open Days which will require some evening and weekend work hours, for which time off in lieu will be given.

Job share or term time only contract + 2 weeks could be discussed for right candidate.

Salary: Pay review pending September 2022. (Salary Scale 24–28) £26,181–£29,757 dependent on experience. Based on 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum.

Holiday: Five weeks plus all Bank Holidays a pro rata entitlement will be given if the role is offered on term-time + 2 or job share.

Benefits: Free parking on site. The successful candidate will be entitled to join the St Christopher contributory Pension Scheme. Currently the School contributes 8% towards the scheme and matches individual’s contributions to a maximum contribution by the School of 12%.
