Director of External Relations

Director of External Relations (full-time, 52 weeks per year)

September 2022

Salary scale £48,000 – £52,000 per year.

We seek to appoint a driven marketing professional with experience in branding and digital marketing (website and social media), along with PR and event management. An ability to manage a number of projects simultaneously, to deadlines and within budget, is essential. Outstanding communication skills, attention to detail, strong interpersonal and organisational skills and computer proficiency are vital.

This new post is designed to take the lead in creating, developing, implementing and managing the communications and marketing strategies for Tudor Hall and Carrdus in order to support the achievement of the schools’ objectives. This will include pupil recruitment and retention, and communications and content strategies, as well as broader PR work establishing a strong understanding of the schools’ brand both internally and externally.

The successful candidate will be dynamic, focused and lead by example. They will be calm under pressure, resilient and tenacious. We are looking for someone who wishes to invest wholeheartedly in this dynamic, forward-thinking, and caring community.

This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week excluding lunch), but the nature of the responsibilities is such that additional working may be required.

Tudor Hall is a girls’ boarding school with a strong sense of community. Carrdus is an independent day school for girls and boys aged 3–11 years old.

Director of External Relations

Windermere School is looking for a full time Director of External Relations to lead on the School’s Admissions, Marketing, ‘4th Term’ and Development initiatives.
This role will most likely suit an experienced and innovative professional with a proven track record within a sales and marketing related context – an individual who will possess excellent relationship-building skills, in-depth knowledge of the Independent Schools’ sector, a strong sense of collegiate teamwork as well as entrepreneurial and commercial instincts. The successful candidate will have an instinctive feel for the independent boarding and day market, combined with the relevant transferable skills to undertake this complex and fulfilling role.

Director of External Relations – Adoption Cover

Freemen’s is recruiting a Director of External Relations for up to 12 months to cover adoption leave. We are looking for someone with a strong track record for delivering results. The role involves delivering a new Development strategy to increase our capacity to offer bursaries whilst also developing our Community and Partnerships presence and delivering on ambitious pupil recruitment targets. The post holder will also engage with the launch of Freemen’s Global, our innovative virtual learning platform connecting international students with Freemen’s education from across the globe.

Reporting to the Head but working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, applicants will be educated to degree level with proven experience in fund raising with the ability to demonstrate initiative and creativity. They will have expertise in utilising digital social media platforms, excellent leadership skills and highly effective interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.

Events and External Engagement Officer

Fixed Term – 12 months in the first instance
