Head of Marketing and Admissions

Abbot’s Hill School is an independent day school for girls aged 4-16 years and a co-ed Day Nursery from 6 months to 4 years. The school was founded in 1912 by the Baird sisters to educate ‘young women of character’ and has a long and proud history of providing an all-round education to the young people in its care.

The school is now looking to appoint a Head of Marketing and Admissions who will be responsible for marketing and pupil recruitment and be integral to the future growth of the school. The successful candidate will be an experienced, creative, senior marketing, admissions and communications professional.

Previous schools’ experience is desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will have good knowledge of the educational landscape and a keen understanding of the factors which drive parents to choose a school. They will take the lead in developing and delivering outstanding marketing and pupil recruitment strategies and will build and maintain excellent relationships with all key stakeholders, both internal and external.

Reporting directly to the Head, and being a key strategic member of the Executive Team, the post will have a 360-degree view of all marketing, admissions and communications activities at the School.  This is an exciting time to join the school and to play a key role in delivering the strategy which will take Abbot’s Hill to the next stage of its development.

Head of Marketing

Hoe Bridge is a thriving independent school for girls and boys aged 2 to 16. Head of Marketing Administration

We are looking to appoint an efficient team-player to join our busy marketing department.

Although marketing or PR experience would be very useful, the key focus for this role is the organisation of the team and their workload along with developing good relationships with key people both within and beyond the College.

Demonstrable administrative, writing and proof-reading skills, a creative flair, and exemplary attention to detail are a must. Above all, the post-holder will need to be an excellent organiser of projects and people, with proven experience of leading a small team.

Whilst the majority of creative work will be contracted out and there is no requirement for knowledge of design softwares, the post-holder will provide support and guidance for other colleagues who have social media or in-house publications responsibilities and help to streamline processes.

Oswestry School seeks a Head of Marketing and Admissions to play a pivotal role in leading on all marketing and admissions activities and delivering the key departmental objectives: maximising recruitment of pupils to the School, whilst also enhancing the School’s relationship with current parents and the wider school community. The role combines both strategic thinking with day to day marketing activity.

Responsibilities would include keeping the Marketing & Admissions Strategy under review and update on an annual basis; to plan and implement national and international marketing initiatives; to ensure that the School communicates in a consistent, accurate, professional and prompt manner with all key audiences; management of the school’s website; creating high-quality content for marketing and admissions collateral, working with external designers and agencies as required; to manage and lead the School’s presence on social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, ensuring accuracy and relevance across the board; keeping up-to-date with advances in social media technology.

The Head of Marketing and Admissions is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the Headmaster and the postholder will be expected to attend senior leadership team meetings. There are currently three members of the Marketing and Admissions team: Director of (overseas) Admissions, (domestic) Registrar, and Alumni Relations Manager. Each works less than full time and will be line managed by the Head of Marketing and Admissions. It is expected that a marketing and admissions assistant (or similar) will be appointed by the postholder.
