Marketing & Alumni Manager

(Required to start mid-March 2024)

This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic External Relations team as a Marketing & Alumni Manager. You will be responsible for leading and delivering the strategic and creative marketing of St Edmund’s College & Prep whilst upholding our core values and brand. The post holder will need to be a passionate communicator, with a keen eye for detail and be an organised self-starter. This busy, exciting role works across the school to deliver compelling, creative marketing updates using all channels available (social media, website, video and in person events). Whilst not a teaching role, as a Marketing & Alumni Manager you will be working on a regular basis in a school in a role which gives opportunity for contact with children. As such, you will be in regulated activity and an enhanced DBS check (which includes children’s barred list information) will be required in advance of appointment.

Head of Marketing and Admissions

We’re looking for a talented Head of Marketing to join the team here at Lockers Park.

As a purposefully small prep school for boys aged 4 to 13 years, we want someone who has that special marketing touch; who can share our boys enthusiasm for life, narrate the day-to-day stories about The Feast, our sporting wins, our academic excellence and how each boy is fulfilling their potential.

This means you’ll be an integral part of our team with strong interpersonal skills and a sense of community.  You’ll be responsible for our marketing plan – that includes writing content, digital marketing and liaising with staff, parents, agencies and community contacts.

You’ll have experience of media and PR, increasing traction around our website, social media and online presence. Having been involved in events, design and advertising would be a benefit.

The important thing for us is having the right person so we welcome applicants with a background in the education sector or other sectors where the marketing skills are transferable.

The role is based at the school and is for 35 hours per week.

Deputy Director of Marketing (Maternity Cover)

Fixed term contract from June 2024 to 7 April 2025 (with the possibility of a temporary, part time extension until 31 August 2025)

Hours and Basis: Full time, all year round.

Salary: based on £39,825.76 1FTE, pro rata for the duration of the fixed term contract.

We are seeking an experienced communications specialist to join our award-winning Marketing Team on a fixed term to cover maternity leave.

It’s an incredibly exciting time to be joining our fast-paced environment at one of the UK’s leading independent schools. Within the past year alone we have launched our commercial events brand, Hemsted Park, which was enabled by the opening of the magnificent Centenary Hall, and our multi-media launch campaign earned an AMCIS Communications Impact Award.

In addition, we have seen the opening of Benenden’s first school overseas, while this academic year has been dominated by celebrations marking the School’s Centenary, with the team producing a glossy commemorative book, running a global conference, and hosting a high-profile communications campaign across multiple platforms, including the launch of a new website and updated brand identity. Looking to the future, our priority will include plans to grow the School and further raise its profile, with our expanding day market buoyed by the imminent launch of our first bus service.

The Marketing Team is integral to student recruitment at Benenden, working closely with the Admissions Department on campaigns and long-term strategy. The team’s wide-ranging responsibilities include publications, the website, social media, video production, market research, weekly bulletins, photography, media liaison, advertising and events.

Reporting to the Director of External Relations, our Deputy Director of Marketing (Maternity Cover) will lead the Marketing Team, taking responsibility for publications, digital and video activities and line managing some members of the team.

The successful candidate will be an experienced marketeer who is enthusiastic about sharing the numerous exciting stories of students’ achievements and ambitions. They will need to multi task and enjoy coming up with new ideas. This role involves building relationships with multiple stakeholders internally and externally and the successful candidate will enjoy being part of the Benenden community. The role requires flexibility as many of our events are at weekends and in the evenings.

Marketing and Admissions Data Officer

Hours: 40 hours per week, 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, including attendance at INSET and Open Mornings.

Salary: £24,440 per annum pro-rata inclusive of holiday pay (£31,500 FTE).

We are seeking an experienced data analyst to support the Marketing and Admissions Teams across St George’s Weybridge. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented and proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, to analyse data relating to various aspects of both the marketing and admissions processes. St George’s Weybridge offers a perfectly balanced co-educational education, and is the largest independent Catholic school in England.

The successful candidate will have proven data analysis experience, with the ability to interpret and present data effectively to a range of stakeholders. Knowledge of marketing principles and student recruitment and enrolment would be beneficial for this role.

Main Purpose

 To be responsible for marketing & communications across the above schools, creating compelling and creative content and ensuring a cohesive brand identity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creating and disseminating internal and external communications, including writing content from scratch and editing content provided by staff members
  • Creating and monitoring the schools’ communication plans, to build a cohesive brand identity and promote the Schools’ values
  • Ensuring compliance with the Cavendish Education brand guidelines
  • Social media strategy and creation, including regular, engaging posts across different channels
  • Organising giveaways, staff clothing, and branded items
  • Organising the branding and marketing of school events, and overseeing the look and feel of the schools’ presentation at these events
  • Leading the content and distribution of the Abingdon House School weekly newsletters, monitoring its readership, and updating templates and design as needed
  • Website upkeep, including new content creation and ongoing maintenance to ensure all content is accurate, dynamic and compliant with relevant requirements
  • Monitoring website performance using Google Analytics, and making design and usage recommendations to ensure visibility
  • Maintaining the content of the school prospectus and coordinating professional photographers as required
  • Maintaining regular communication with key external stakeholders
  • Seeking out and recommending opportunities for school promotion
  • Monitoring the SEND education landscape in London

The Marketing & Communications Manager will be required to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people, and follow school policies and the staff code of conduct.

Admissions, Marketing and Communications Officer

The School is seeking an Admissions Officer with a desire to deliver a smooth, stress free admission journey for prospective pupils and parents. You will have a proven track record in admissions within a school or similar environment and be able to manage the school’s admission function to promote, develop relationships and consolidate interest, with prospective parents.

In this exciting new role, you will support the Head of Admissions, Marketing and Communications to drive awareness of the school and meet targets for pupil intake. You will bring a professional, warm and proactive approach to managing the day-to-day running of the admissions process from initial enquiry through to pupils joining the school, focusing on delivering an exceptional level of service at each stage. As the first point of contact, you will nurture excellent relationships with prospective families and work closely with internal stakeholders.

You will also be supporting the Head of Admissions, Marketing and Communications to implement the marketing plan through traditional and digital marketing channels. You will be highly organised with excellent communication and relationship management skills. A keen attention to detail with strong administrative and data management skills will help you excel in this role. They will have good IT skills and experience in Admissions is essential and knowledge and experience of the independent sector is desirable. Candidates should pay attention to the job description/person specification and explain within their letter of application how they meet the criteria, whilst also describing what they will bring to the post from their own knowledge and experience.

The timings for this role will be working Monday to Friday between 9.00 a.m. and 3.00 p.m. in term time. In addition, you will be required to work for three weeks at particularly busy times for Admissions each year (two weeks at the beginning and a week at the end of the summer holidays) and some occasional working over the holidays to check and respond to emails. The pay has been calculated to include payment for up to two weeks to cover checking of emails over the holidays.
