Head’s PA

Required February 2024 Head’s PA (full time, term time + 6 weeks)

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and dynamic Personal Assistant to the Head. This role is essential to the leadership of the School by helping the Head with the day to day running of the School by managing her office, organising her diary and coordinating the paperwork required to carry out the wide spectrum of responsibilities of the Head. The role will also include some support for the SMT with Academic Administration as required.

Reporting to the Headteacher, the postholder will establish and maintain good relationships with colleagues, parents, pupils and external partners. The successful candidate will have a proven track record as a personal assistant, with experience gained ideally within a school or a similarly busy and dynamic environment. This role will require high-levels of attention to detail and discretion, whilst the ability to be a team player is essential. Energy, commitment and a willingness to take a full and active part in the broader life of this busy school are also essential requirements.

Full time – term time plus 6 weeks, 9:00am – 5.30pm (including a 30-minute unpaid lunchbreak), to include one late night stay until 6.00pm. Holidays must be taken during the school holiday periods. 6 weeks worked during the school holiday to be agreed with the Head in advance.

Assistant PA to the Headmistress and Assistant Registrar

Salary: £24,000 – £27,000

Hours of Work: Full time 8:00am-5:00pm with 6 weeks holiday

Contract: Fixed Term for 1 Year with potential to extend

To Start: As soon as possible

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced PA to join our office administration team at Upton House School in Windsor.  As Assistant PA to the Headmistress, you will manage the Headmistress’s diary, correspondence and key tasks as delegated by the Headmistress or PA.  The highest standards of professionalism, initiative and attention to detail are required at all times.   As Assistant Registrar, you will assist the Registrar with all aspects of new admissions to the school and, at times, act as first point of contact for new parent enquiries.  An excellent ability to understand the needs of current and prospective parents is essential.

The successful candidate must have previous experience working as a PA, be articulate and be able to demonstrate high standards of presentation, both verbal and written, to reflect the nature of the school.  Demonstrating these skills will be part of the interview process. You must have excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines. A willingness to meet challenges with enthusiasm and to contribute as a team member is essential.

Excellent IT and administrative skills are essential.  Upton House is an incredibly busy, fast paced school, we do not stand still and therefore require an individual who can really hit the ground running with high energy for anything that may be presented to them.
