This exciting opportunity has arisen to join our award-winning independent school marketing team as PR and Marketing Officer. Responsible for the school’s social media presence, public relations and media relationships, reporting to the Head of Marketing and working with a large and unique team of six, who have a diverse range of skills.
We are seeking an individual who is ambitious and hungry to drive forward marketing practices, keeps a close eye on new trends in the marketing landscape and aspires to lead the way in independent school marketing in the UK. The hours of work for the role are 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday with the occasional weekend or evening required for School events. Communications and PR Officer
A vacancy has arisen for the position of Communications and PR Officer at Godstowe Preparatory School. The School wishes to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced member of staff who will be responsible for a variety of communications to our parents and the wider community. We are looking for an inspired, self-motivated individual who will effectively act as our internal journalist, seeking out news and preparing ways of issuing these, using a variety of media, such as the website, our electronic newsletter, social media, as well as parent communications.
This is an exciting role for the right individual, who enjoys being part of the lively and busy School Office and will work daily with our Senior Management Team, the academic and support staff, developing our communications so that they reach the target audience in an effective and professional way.

PR & Social Media Manager
Part Time: 16 hours / 2 days per week (year round)

This role reports to the Director of Marketing and Admissions and is part of a small, but very busy team responsible for marketing and pupil recruitment for our 3 schools.
The ideal candidate is likely to be an experienced PR professional who is looking for a new challenge. The role offers the opportunity to make a real impact and to work in an inspiring and unique environment, surrounded by the most amazing young people.
This is a part time role for 16 hours per week. We are very flexible in terms of when the hours are worked across the week to suit the successful candidate, within our core hours of 8.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
The overall aim of the role is to increase positive press coverage and social media engagement in order to enhance the reputation of the school and ultimately aide the recruitment and retention of pupils.
