Director of External Relations

St Edmund’s College offers modern facilities in a magnificent country setting in rural Hertfordshire, providing a safe and stimulating environment for young minds.

We require a Director of External Relations to work in close collaboration with the Headmaster to manage develop, manage and oversee the College’s strategic external relations plan in line with the overall school strategy and develop and implement an effective UK and international pupil recruitment strategy including the identification of potential new markets and relationships.

Responsible for the development and delivery of the marketing strategy and for directing and leading the marketing, admissions and alumni operations.

The successful candidate will welcome the many opportunities to contribute to the lively extra-curricular life of the College, which is situated in rural East Hertfordshire. St Edmund’s is England’s oldest Catholic school offering an all-round co-education for students from 3 to 18 and for families from all faiths.

Whilst not in a teaching role, as Director of External Relations you will be working on a regular basis in a school in a role which gives opportunity for contact with children. As such, you will be in regulated activity and an enhanced DBS check (which includes children’s barred list information) will be required in advance of appointment.
Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone’s responsibility. As with all College staff members, you will therefore be responsible for providing a safe environment in which children can learn.
The post will involve close contact with, and a high degree of responsibility for, children and young adults. The majority of this will be regulated activity.

External Relations Officer

Required from September 2023

With Admissions thriving and the GDST’s exciting new plan of investment, including new laboratories, Sixth Form Centre and design technology and innovation spaces, this is an exciting time to join Sydenham High School.

The post holder in this key role will implement the School’s external relations strategy and development plan, identifying and working with all stakeholders to enhance the visibility and reputation of Sydenham High.

This role will be essential to the smooth and effective outward-facing functions of the School, notably Marketing, Communications, Admissions and Development. The Officer will play a leading role in building and strengthening relationships with the School’s key constituencies, including prospective families, past and present parents, alumnae, staff and governors.

Taking a lead from the Head and the Director of Marketing and Communications, the post holder will work closely with the Registrar and administrative staff to ensure the thorough organisation and management of events, helping to sustain our successful number of pupil applications and as well as instigating communications, building partnerships and running lower level fundraising campaigns.

The External Relations Officer will occasionally be required to be flexible in their work in order to attend special events which take place outside the normal working day.

The successful candidate will also focus on building and maintaining our alumnae network, whilst supporting the Director of Marketing & Communications and the School as a whole.

Head of International Relations

Sidcot School is currently seeking a Head of International Relations to join our community.

Alumnae Relations Officer

If you offer digital marketing experience, social media skills, and the ability to form positive relationships with a variety of people, this position offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role supporting the alumnae relations programme of one of London’s leading independent girls’ day schools.

As the 150th anniversary of Notting Hill and Ealing High School approaches, this role will play an important part in our programme of celebration to raise funds to grow our bursary programme. Building relationships with alumnae is crucial to the success of the programme.

As Alumnae Relations Officer, you will support the development of the Notting Hill and Ealing High School alumnae relations programme through a variety of mediums, such as creating content for social media, newsletters, and the school website to increase engagement with alumnae, as well organise and attend social and networking events for alumnae.

You will use your excellent communication skills, whether in writing, telephone or in person, to develop relationships with alumnae and also be responsible for operational tasks, such as managing the alumnae database and updating alumnae relations web pages on the school website.

We are looking for a self-starter who is comfortable with a range of creative tasks, such as writing content for social media, newsletters, and the school website, as well as confident in social situations, such as networking events. High levels of attention to detail and accuracy are equally important.
This position offers flexible working, part time, 2 or 3 days per week, working from 8.30am – 4.30pm.

The salary for 3 days per week is £18,707 – £20,400 PA depending on experience.

The salary for 2 days per week is £12,471 – £13,600 PA depending on experience.

Independent school for girls and boys aged 3-18

DIRECTOR OF EXTERNAL RELATIONS

Salary: In the region of £70,000-£80,000 per annum, depending upon skills and experience

Brentwood School is one of the UK’s leading independent schools for boys and girls aged 3-18 with a history spanning almost 500 years. Set in the heart of Brentwood in Essex the School educates some 1900 pupils, including 70 boarders.

The Governors and Headmaster are seeking to appoint a dynamic and forward-thinking Director of External Relations to take the lead in creating and developing the School’s Development and Communications strategies. This will include donor fundraising and alumni relations as well as external PR and internal and external communications.

Reporting to the Headmaster, this is a newly created senior role, and the post holder will provide outstanding strategic direction and inspiring leadership to a team of six development and communications and professionals. Director of External Relations – Adoption Cover

Freemen’s is recruiting a Director of External Relations for up to 12 months to cover adoption leave. We are looking for someone with a strong track record for delivering results. The role involves delivering a new Development strategy to increase our capacity to offer bursaries whilst also developing our Community and Partnerships presence and delivering on ambitious pupil recruitment targets.
