Marketing & Social Media Assistant

We’re looking for a Marketing and Social Media Assistant to provide professional and effective support to our small in-house Marketing Department. This role in our marketing team focuses on the day to day running of social media channels, a weekly newsletter and the school website.

 We’re looking for someone with excellent communication skills and a creative flair for creating engaging content and telling stories to inspire audiences. In addition, applicants should have a fine eye for detail.

You may already have marketing communications, creative or other relevant experience or you may have relevant qualifications which are suitable to our role and looking for your first job in marketing. If so, we’d love to hear from you!

 Our School is a large independent prep school (pupil ages 3 and 13) based in Amersham, Buckinghamshire with close links to London.

The role is permanent, 37.5 hours per week, full-time, working all year-round (with the potential for slightly shorter weekly hours during the Summer holidays if desirable).

Social Media and Communications Officer

In conjunction with the Director of External Relations, the postholder will play an important role in developing both schools’ Social Media Strategies to develop and create news that will tell a compelling story. The post holder will have specific responsibility for integrating the schools’ digital marketing activities into the wider External Relations’ Strategy and Plan. They will be a creative thinker and have responsibility for social media and external digital communications management, including active participation in all platforms of social media and on-line communications.

Social Media and Website Manager (Remote)

Social Media Manager

Brighton College is seeking to appoint a Social Media Manager (term-time only), to start in January 2023, working in our Marketing department.

Purpose of the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic Marketing Team. This is a term-time only position and the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering our Social Media Strategy for the whole School, from Nursery to Sixth Form.

Role Specification:
• Delivering the Brighton College Media Strategy
• Creating a Social Media Marketing Plan
• Managing all social media channels across the entire school: Nursery, Pre-prep, Prep and Senior
• Creating content to ensure that all channels remain lively and engaging throughout the year
• Ensuring key marketing messages for the School are delivered
• Delivering paid-for social media campaigns
• Keeping abreast with the latest social media trends and making recommendations on how the School can use each channel most effectively
• Taking photos at events, of daily school life and ensuring these are stored correctly on our photo management systems
• Ensuring professional photographs are used effectively on social media
• Liaising with the marketing teams in each part of the school to share relevant content for the newsletters and school magazines
• Working with staff to encourage them to create and share content
• Keeping a close eye on comments, likes and shares
• Reporting on the success of the social media channels over time

Hours of Work:
37.5 hours per week, working 08:30 – 17:00 Monday to Friday inclusive , with one-hour unpaid lunch break. There is the expectation that occasional weekend or evening work will be required.
