Admissions Assistant

Fixed Term Contract up to 12 months, beginning Summer Term 2020

This is an important role in supporting the School’s recruitment and marketing functions. The Admissions Office is responsible for coordinating and organising the School admissions’ processes effectively. Reporting to the Registrar, duties will include data entry, preparing prospectus packs, responding to enquiries from prospective parents, assisting with registrations and organising tours for prospective parents.

The ideal candidate will have previous administrative experience, be highly numerate and computer literate and will have worked with and populated detailed databases. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills are required, as are discretion, confidentiality and sensitivity in dealing with others. Experience working in an Admissions department or School is desirable, but not essential.

The position is part time, 30 hours per week during term time, ideally worked 6 hours per day, Monday to Friday, with 4 weeks worked during School holidays (must include GCSE results day and the few days immediately following). Flexibility is required during busy weeks where additional hours/some full working days will be required (including prior to and during January entrance examinations). The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
