Admissions Coordinator

Hours: 08.30 – 17.30 Monday to Friday
Dependent on experience, up to £25,000
Lord Wandsworth College is seeking an Admissions Coordinator, to join our successful admissions team. This role is essential to us ensuring that we deliver best-in-class experiences for potential pupils and their families at every stage of the admissions journey. The successful candidate will have outstanding communication and people skills together with strong organisational and administrative abilities.
This is an exciting and wide-ranging role with a variety of responsibilities to include:
Dealing with phone, website, online chat, and email admissions enquiries to deliver outstanding customer service
Sending out marketing and admissions literature both by post and email to prospective parents
Co-ordinating all visits for prospective parents and following up on these in a timely manner
Assist in our regular programme of Open Mornings and other special events for prospective parents
Processing pupil applications, registration and acceptance forms
Communication with prospective parents regarding exams and assessments
Invigilating online tests and assessments
Updating and coordinating joiner’s information and disseminating information to staff as required
Maintaining the admissions databases ensuring that they are accurate and always up to date, including change of status requests
Maintain school records for both prospective and current pupils
Assisting with taster day arrangements, emails and letters etc.
Arranging and attending new pupil induction days
Assisting with scholarship application processing and communications
Managing database of visas/passports details as required by UKVI – current and prospective pupils
Assist with the provision of reports in relation to pupil numbers to the Director of Admissions & Marketing
Any other tasks required by the Admissions Manager
Carrying out any such duties as may be reasonably requested by the Director of Admissions and Marketing
The Admissions Coordinator is responsible to the Admissions & Foundation Manager and will assist in the delivery of the smooth running of the entire admissions process for the College from initial enquiries, through to registration and enrolment. It is essential to be able to assist and build close working relations with key stakeholders (colleagues and parents) to ensure that the College always remains as full as possible, in line with the marketing strategy.
This is an ideal position for a candidate with previous school admissions experience ideally but equally someone with the background knowledge of working in an education setting who wishes to be involved in the ‘life’ of a school community. The role requires excellent organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently. The post-holder will also need to be able to work on time bound tasks to support the Admissions and Marketing objectives.
