Admissions Officer (Widening Access) – Maternity Cover
This is a post within the School’s Admissions Department. It is a post developed to help the School take forward its Charitable activities as well as objectives from the School’s Development Plan. It is a varied role and therefore the applicant needs to have a flexible, pro-active and can-do approach. The main purpose and responsibility of the role is:
Bursaries: Overseeing the School’s bursary programme, including helping ensure awareness within the community and running the bursary application process.
Two further elements will make up the role:
Diversity: The post holder will take the lead on diversity in the Admissions department and, alongside the Head of Admissions, be the key contact for the Senior Team member taking forward the school’s diversity programme, reporting to them as necessary.
Admissions Processes: It is anticipated the post holder will offer admissions support for different entry points to the school, with varying responsibilities for organising open events, assessments, inductions and for communications to parents as required.
In delivering the role, the post holder will be required to work closely with a number of people within the School including, as appropriate, the Head and the Bursar. People with whom the post holder would work closely with on a day-to-day basis include: the Head of Admissions, Admissions Coordinator, the 11+ Admissions Lead, the Director of Development and the Partnerships Director.
This is being advertised as a temp fixed term full time role (maternity cover) but there may be potential for flexibility of hours, particularly during school holiday periods. Options regarding this can be discussed at interview.
