This is an exciting opportunity to use your first class organisational, administrative and multi-tasking skills to play an important role in a very busy admissions team in a leading independent day school based in the heart of Oxford.

As Admissions Registrar, your primary responsibilities are pupil recruitment, customer service and administration, with accountability for fulfilling all duties of the admissions process efficiently, through a variety of channels.

You will be a vital member of the School’s admissions team, being the main point of contact for all inbound and outbound correspondences for the senior school, seeing through the full customer journey from initial enquiry to onboarding new students, and everything in between. The team are responsible for ensuring the smooth running and successful completion of the admissions process, for both UK and overseas applicants, whilst always delivering an exceptional level of service and ensuring a high quality of work that is representative of the reputation of the School.

Your responsibilities will include maintaining the admissions database, handling enquiries from prospective parents and processing applications in a timely fashion, facilitating the administration of the School’s entrance examinations, and much more. All of which are required within very strict timeframes and in combination with managing a very busy and varying workload. You will also assist with admissions events, such as assessment days, open days, virtual meetings and parents’ visits.

Admissions is busy year-round; therefore, this role is full-time and requires someone who is proactive and forward-thinking, to ensure that during peak periods they are well prepared and responsive to the demands of the job.

You will need excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to sustain a high level of efficiency and attention to detail. You will also need to be a competent user of the Microsoft Office suite of packages and databases and have proven experience in office administration. Sales or business development experience would be an advantage as ultimately the Admissions department is responsible for achieving annual pupil targets.
