Starting Salary c.£33,000 per annum
Permanent | Full-time | All-year Round (52 weeks per year)
Felsted School is an independent co-educational day and boarding school for students aged 4 to 18 located in the beautiful English village of Felsted between Chelmsford City and Stansted Airport. We provide an exceptional holistic education to approximately 1100 pupils across our Prep and Senior School, with an international student intake that makes up 20% of our total pupil body. Felsted School is rated ‘Excellent in every aspect’ by the Independent Schools Inspectorate.
We are looking for a passionate, energetic and committed Admissions Registrar to oversee the admissions of Years 9 to 12. The role will oversee pupil entry from initial enquiry, introduction, registration and interview to final admission, working closely with other key stakeholders to ensure transparency and accuracy across the admissions process.
Our Registrars play an integral role in being a prominent ambassador for the school with a warm, welcoming and professional predisposition, ensuring a friendly, confident and genuine commitment to deliver exceptional service to our customers.
It is essential that the successful person has prior admissions knowledge with experience of processing high volumes of applications annually, ideally in years 9 to 12 in a busy, fast-paced environment. Applicants must demonstrate their organisational and communication skills, and be able to handle confidential and sensitive data together with strong IT, data entry, grammar and word processing skills. The postholder will need to ensure accurate data is kept for regular statistical reports needed by the Headmaster and Board of Governors. Whilst not essential, we particularly welcome applications from those who have previously worked in an admissions role within the Independent Education Sector.
This is a significant role within our School that will provide the opportunity for the right person to showcase their strong market knowledge, interpersonal, communication and recruitment skills within a successful School. In return, we will provide an opportunity to enhance their career and skills within a prestigious environment.
This role is a permanent position working full-time, all-year round. The working hours are generally Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm, however, flexibility is key as attendance is needed at School Open Days and Events, visits with prospective parents and pupils and Agent meetings.
Further information and a full job description can be found within the ‘Role Information Pack’ and on our website felsted.org/bpa-admissions.
Benefits include free life assurance and parking, contributory pension scheme, 25 days annual entitlement plus public holidays, lunch on full days worked, unlimited use of the Felsted Gym and pool facilities, subsidised on-site Coffee Shop and membership to Felsted Connect; an online multi-platform engagement tool where employees have access to hundreds of exclusive discounts and offers from online and high-street retailers.
Closing date for receipt of applications is Friday 07 August 2020 at 9:00am.
Interviews will be held on Tuesday 11 August 2020
