ASSISTANT TO THE REGISTRAR
Required for July/August 2021

Full time equivalent annual salary circa £25,720 (£21,018 pro-rata for part time/term time hours) depending on experience, plus benefits including generous contributory pension scheme and life assurance.

The Assistant to the Registrar assists the Registrar in all areas of the Department as directed by the Registrar, providing high-level administrative support to the Admissions function.

Duties will include a high degree of information management including management of the Department’s database, registration process and student records. Other responsibilities include liaising with parents, leading tours for prospective parents and assisting with events such as exam days and open mornings.

We are seeking an experienced administrator/personal assistant, ideally having worked within a school environment. The successful candidate will possess a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, and be highly computer literate having worked with and populated detailed databases. In addition, they will be organised, methodical with discretion and sensitivity in dealing with others. An understanding of the admissions process within an Independent secondary school is desirable but not essential.

Weekly hours are 35 per week during term time worked 7 per day, Monday to Friday during term time, with 5 weeks worked during School holidays (including on and around exam results days). Precise hours may be negotiable. Flexibility is required during busy weeks where additional hours may be required (including prior to and during January entrance examinations) for which time off in lieu will be given during less busy periods of the year.
