Founded in 1863, St Edward’s is an independent, co-educational boarding and day school for pupils aged 13 to 18 (Year 9 to Year 13). The school is forward-looking and progressive, one of the few UK schools to offer both A Level and the IB Diploma in the Sixth Form. St Edward’s is seeking two Communications Managers who will work across all media on local and national marketing initiatives to build the reputation of the school. One Communications Manager will take specific responsibility for producing the weekly E-Newsletter and one will take responsibility for managing the school website.
Alongside these core functions, both postholders will have further responsibility for:
- Producing digital and print materials, including prospectuses, brochures, magazines, guides, videos and podcasts
- Managing social media platforms
- Overseeing photographers and videographers
- Digital and print advertising
- Event management
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role supporting the development of creative, high-quality marketing and communications that will increase awareness of St Edward’s.
It is a fast-paced working environment, with social and other media often requiring immediate broadcast or publication, therefore accuracy and close attention to detail are vital. The ideal candidates will need extensive knowledge and understanding of marketing strategies and tactics with experience of working in a similar marketing or communications role. A watertight grasp of grammar and excellent written English and the ability to juggle a number of projects with conflicting deadlines are equally important.
