Epsom College is a co-educational day and boarding school with approximately 1070 pupils aged 11-18. The College is located one mile from Epsom town, below Epsom Downs, in fine buildings set in a beautiful tree filled campus of some 72 acres. Originally founded by The Royal Medical Benevolent Foundation, today the College strives to develop the individual talents of every girl and boy.
The College is seeking to appoint a temporary full time Communications Manager who will be responsible to the Director of Marketing for the development, implementation and delivery of Epsom College’s strategic communications strategy.
The successful candidate will be a hands-on and an experienced professional who shares Epsom College’s ethos and values. The Communications Manager will be a conscientious and hard-working individual who enjoys collaborating with a wide range of staff, pupils, parents and prospective parents and is equally comfortable as a self-starter able to deploy their initiative and creativity. A good work ethic combined with flexibility, pragmatism and a sense of humour is essential.
The ideal candidate will be have a sound knowledge and experience in a communications role, and be able to demonstrate a number of measurable successes and outcomes arising from their own ideas and actions. While experience of working within a School, or the wider education sector, is preferable, strong candidates should not be put off from applying. Above all, the ideal candidate will possess the ability to deploy strong and effective communications principles to the College environment, taking into consideration the needs of the target audience and the dynamics of the marketplace.
