Digital Content Creator and Social Media Manager

We are looking for a creative and energetic individual to join our Communications and Marketing team. You will be responsible for creating and delivering an engaging content plan and connecting meaningfully with our communities through various digital channels.

Your creative skills and passion for video creation will be instrumental in reflecting the richness of School life and in telling our stories. Taking your direction from our Admissions and Marketing strategy, you will be responsible for the main School social media channels as well as supporting others to make the most of this medium. This is an exciting role with a high degree of trust and autonomy, giving the right candidate the opportunity to influence, shape and develop our digital marketing approach while benefitting from being part of a fun and supportive team.

About the School: Oundle School is one of the country’s leading co-educational boarding and day schools, with 860 boarding and 250 day pupils. A further 260 day pupils attend Laxton Junior School. The School is located in the thriving market town of Oundle.

About the department: The School’s Communications and Marketing Department is a fast-paced, energetic and supportive team with a genuine desire to reflect the School authentically and with a mind always to its audience. The team covers all aspects of marketing and press for both Oundle School and Laxton Junior School, as well as overseeing the brand and image of the wider Corporation of Oundle School.

This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, with some weekend working expected during term time. A standard day would be 8.30am to 5pm. There is potential for flexibility around hybrid working outside of term time. For the right candidate, we would also potentially consider a full-time term role, with reduced hours in the holidays.

If you are excited by this opportunity to work a transformational rather than transactional organisation and to apply your considerable skills in bringing social media channels and digital content to life through exciting and engaging video, this could be the role for you.

To apply, go to the School website at www.oundleschool.org.uk/vacancies for full details and an application form.

Application closing date: Tuesday 13 December 2022
Interviews: Friday 6 January 2023

The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. You will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
