Digital Marketing Officer

The Marketing Department at Loughborough Schools Foundation is looking to recruit a Digital Marketing Officer in order to support the Schools’ development plans and realise their visions. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, Admissions and Commercial, and working with other members of the Marketing Team, you will create engaging content for the social media channels to enhance the visibility of all four Schools and Nursery, in the local and national marketplace and communicate their many outstanding attributes. This is a varied and rewarding role, with no two days the same. You’ll be an experienced, ‘hands[1]on’ digital marketer, highly motivated, flexible in both your approach and the hours you work and be able to demonstrate your passion and ability to deliver results in managing digital communications.

Main areas of responsibility The Digital Marketing Officer will be responsible for the implementation of the social media strategy for Loughborough Schools Foundation. This includes planning, goal setting, the development of brand awareness and online reputation, and content management. The post-holder must be a highly motivated, creative and enthusiastic individual with experience of managing social media channels and the ability to drive digital strategies that are proven by testing and metrics. The post-holder will be expected to report on the effectiveness of all social media marketing plans. Attendance and support at School Open Days, Taster Days, Results Days and key events. Assist the Marketing, Admissions and Commercial Director with other digital projects as required. Person specification This role would suit someone with a positive, creative and imaginative outlook, excellent IT and social media capabilities and excellent organisational skills with the ability to handle and prioritise multiple projects in a busy and exciting environment. Experience should demonstrate knowledge and evidence of managing social media channels, the effective use of scheduling systems such as Hootsuite, and an understanding of the principle of good copywriting. A willingness to engage with the Schools’ communities as well as the Marketing, Admissions and Commercial team, is essential and a degree of flair will also be welcomed.

Loughborough Schools Foundation is a charitable foundation of four independent schools in the heart of Loughborough, educating children from 3 to 18 years. It comprises Loughborough Grammar School (boys, 10–18 years), Loughborough High School (girls, 11-18 years), Loughborough Amherst School (Co-educational 4-18 years) and Fairfield Prep School (Co- educational 3-11 years). In addition, the Loughborough Nursery (6 weeks – 4 years) is our day nursery which opened in 2016.

The schools are situated on neighbouring campuses close to the town centre and enjoy an excellent reputation for their academic, cultural and sporting achievements and for the quality of their pastoral care.
