Director of External Relations

This is an exciting opportunity to build a new approach to Marketing and Admissions within our expanding school. This is a new role and we are looking for an experienced marketing professional to lead our successful team.

Reporting to the Bursar, the Director of External Relations will be responsible for pupil admissions into both the Senior School and Junior School, marketing and communications as well as establishing a new Development Office in the future. We are looking for an individual who has experience of operating at a strategic level in an independent school, in further education or a not for profit organisation.

Our ideal candidate will bring strategic insight to our future plans alongside creative flair, innovation and a passion for education. They will have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with members of the Senior Leadership Teams.

The key responsibilities are:

  • Lead the Marketing & Admissions Team to ensure the effective alignment of admissions, marketing and communications in the delivery of a new integrated marketing strategy.
  • Develop the Crosfields’ brand encompassing internal and external communications across different channels with a clear emphasis towards exploiting social media opportunities.
  • Co-ordinate and promote engagement with alumni, ambassadors, potential donors and the wider community in support of the development of the school and the bursary programme.

About the school:

Situated in over forty acres, Crosfields is a co-educational school with pupils between the ages of 3 and 16. This Autumn, we have welcomed our first pupils into Year 9 and our new Senior School building will be opened. The Junior School continues to go from strength to strength and overall pupil numbers are 635.
