Director of External Relations

We are looking for a Director of External Relations.

To fulfil this important role the School requires a creative, well-educated and charismatic individual who has a track record of success in strategic marketing communications and team leadership.

Candidates will have extensive, proven experience in communications and marketing at a senior level within an education or commercial organisation. Whilst experience in educational marketing would be helpful, enthusiasm, creativity, tact and a hands-on approach to problem solving and getting things done are also fundamental to this role.

The Director of External Relations will be primarily responsible for attracting, recruiting and maintaining maximum student numbers on roll and enhancing the standing and reputation of the School as an educational institution and a significant contributor to the local community. The post holder will be a key public face of the School.

The Queen’s School Chester is an academically selective independent day school for girls aged 4-18 which cares deeply about every girl and provides an ambitious, supportive learning environment with limitless opportunities for exploration and intellectual challenge. This is an extremely exciting time for The Queen’s School. GCSE and A level results regularly put the school at the top of the league tables in Cheshire with 2018’s A level candidates achieving an impressive 27% of examinations passed at A* and 60% at A* – A.
