Director of Marketing and Communications

Bishop’s Stortford College is a leading independent, day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 4-18 years.  Comprising three schools in one (a pre-prep, prep and senior school), the College provides a wonderful learning environment to over 1,200 pupils and is situated in a beautiful 130-acre campus setting on the Hertfordshire / Essex border.

This is a pivotal role for an exceptional individual, reporting directly to the College Head as a member of the senior management team.

The Director of Marketing and Communications will manage the Marketing and Admissions team and will provide dynamic and creative leadership of all internal and external communications.   The overall aims of the role will be to engage key stakeholders in meaningful relationships, to strengthen the College brand, to enhance its profile regionally, nationally and internationally, realise student recruitment targets and deliver a first-class customer experience in every interaction with the College.

This exciting position will likely suit a proven strategic marketing leader with a flair for delivering clear and distinctive communication programmes.    The successful candidate will show drive, excellent interpersonal skills and empathy for the customer although previous schools’ experience is not necessary.
