Head of Admissions

Applications are invited for the Head of Admissions at The Royal Masonic School for Girls (RMS). RMS is a leading independent girls’ day/boarding School with around 1000 day and boarding pupils aged 2 to 18, over 350 teaching and support staff and situated on a 200-acre parkland site near Rickmansworth in Hertfordshire. This is a unique school where we combine dynamic teaching and learning with traditional expectations that are rooted in a long and proud history. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Admissions (DoMA), the Head of Admissions is a key position in the Admissions and Marketing team, responsible for recruiting pupils at all entry points from Pre-School through to Sixth Form. We are seeking a proactive, dynamic candidate with a passion for delivering exceptional and engaging customer service.

The post holder of this important role will be responsible for the development and delivery of a highly effective admissions function that is responsive to the evolving needs of the School. To be successful, the candidate must have a collaborative approach, a strong eye for detail as well as excellent organisation and communication skills, both written and verbal.

The Head of Admissions will provide a professional, first class and bespoke customer journey and is responsible for providing a smooth and highly efficient service for the entire admissions process from initial enquiries, though to the organisation of events, registrations and enrolment.

As a prominent representative of the School, a sound understanding of independent education, boarding, overseas recruitment, and the curriculum would be a distinct advantage. The Head of Admissions is supported by two staff within the Marketing and Admissions team, for whom they have line management responsibility.
