Salary: £31,500 – £38,280 per annum plus benefits (salary up to £40,000 for exceptional candidates)

The role:

This is an exciting opportunity to use your first-class organisational, interpersonal and administrative skills to play a key role in leading the admissions strategy and processes of a prominent independent day school based in the heart of Oxford.

As the Head of Admissions, you will be heading the School’s admissions team and have responsibility for the development and execution of pupil recruitment and acquisition activities. The team is responsible for ensuring the smooth running and successful completion of the admissions process, from initial enquiry through to the pupil joining the School.

Your responsibilities will include maintaining prospective pupil records and reporting on admissions data and statistics, handling queries from and managing relationships with prospective parents, processing applications, and overseeing the administration of the School’s entrance examinations. You will also be responsible for the smooth and successful running of admissions events, such as parents’ visits and open days, as well as ensuring that follow-up communications with each family in attendance are timely and relevant. Lastly, you will have direct line management responsibility for the Admissions Registrar and indirectly for the Marketing & Admissions Assistant.
