Head of Admissions
Streatham and Clapham High School is seeking a motivated and experienced professional to take charge of the pupil admissions process, from initial contact to enrolment, for both our Prep and Senior School.
In this role you will lead a team of Admissions officers to ensure the smooth functioning of our admissions department across our two school sites. Your primary responsibility will be to create a professional and welcoming admissions process, providing prospective students and their families with a positive impression of our school right from enquiry, arranging visits, assessments and interviews, to making offers and enrolling new pupils. You will also liaise closely with the Director of Marketing & Communications to ensure appropriate advertising of taster days, offer-holder events, induction days and welcome evenings, to give as full a flavour of Streatham & Clapham High School life as possible.
To succeed in this role, you will possess experience of the admissions process within an independent school setting. Additionally, experience managing a database, such as SIMS, will be valuable. We are looking for an individual with a high level of personal integrity, who is adept at handling sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy while respecting confidentiality. You will show evidence of customer service experience and selling skills, demonstrating an ability to read and understand a customer base and market trends. You will also exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a courteous telephone manner, which will be crucial in dealing with callers and visitors.
