The Royal Hospital School is a leading independent co-educational boarding and day school for 11 – 18 year olds, set in 200 acres of Suffolk countryside overlooking the River Stour.

The Royal Hospital School has the following vacancy:

HEAD OF MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS

This is an exciting position for an experienced marketing professional with strong Communication and PR Skills (essential), a knowledge of Digital Marketing (preferred) and experience in Relationship Management (preferred).

The Head of Marketing will have responsibility for the delivery of internal and external marketing and communication across all areas of the school. The post holder will also advise and support colleagues in the Admissions and Development teams and will have line management responsibility for the Marketing Executive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Devise and deliver a coherent and effective marketing strategy
  • Identify and commission research that informs the strategy and campaigns as needed
  • Develop a marketing plan and accompanying message matrix appropriate for all target audiences in line with the academic and admissions calendars and aligned to target audiences, working closely with the Senior Registrar and Admissions Team.
  • Produce high quality marketing content for all channels and for all stages of the customer journey.
  • Ensure that all marketing communications are accurate, grammatically correct and consistent with the brand guidelines and tone of voice across all external communications. Oversee and contribute to the production of all content and creative for multi-channel use.
  • Lead strategic and operational relationships with key agencies and suppliers (PR, creative, web development, photographers, film, media, print and production).
  • Oversee the production of all printed and digital materials intended for external audiences including prospectus, magazine, development report, campaign brochures, RHS Enterprise Ltd materials, curriculum guides and as required.
  • Work with external photographers and video producers to ensure image use for marketing purposes adheres to School policies.
