Full Time – 36 hours per week, annual leave: 24 days per year plus bank holidays (availability to work flexibly when needed to include the occasional evening or weekend)
Salary: £27,000 to £32,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)
The Holmewood School is a small independent day school for neurodivergent children and young people aged from 7 to 19 who have a primary diagnosis of Autism. In May of 2022 the school was judged Outstanding by Ofsted and we have achieved Advanced Autism Accreditation from the National Autistic Society (NAS).
We are located on multiple sites in North London (the main site is in North Finchley) and are a part of the Cavendish Education Group. You will be required to work at all sites.
We are seeking to recruit a highly organised senior administrator to lead and manage the marketing and admissions for the whole school, reporting directly to the Head Teacher.
This specific role includes all aspects of the admissions process from making new connections with parents and local authorities who are looking to place students and providing information to them, delivering tours of the school and setting up taster days, requesting relevant information from stakeholders, participating in admission decisions, communicating with all parties following the agreement and acceptance of a place, and ensuring all transition preparation documentation and essential data is collected and distributed.
The right candidate will be tenacious in looking for opportunities to promote Holmewood to a wider audience, in the media and at conferences. The Admissions and Marketing Manager manages internal and external communication as well as planning open days, putting together the weekly newsletter, maintaining our online presence via the website and social media channels, as well as other marketing initiatives in order to showcase the School.
We are looking for an energetic and self-motivated self-starter, who has excellent organisational and administrative skills. They will be characterised by a willingness to go the extra mile to ensure
customer satisfaction and create an exceptional first impression. They will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills both in person, on the phone and online, and will have the ability to relate well to people on all levels with sensitivity, tact and diplomacy. They may have experience of working with children and young people with autism already, or be willing to undertake training in order to become an expert in this area.
