Marketing and Events Officer

18-month Fixed Term Contract with the possibility of moving to a permanent role. Required as soon as possible. 35 hours per week.

Salary £27,750 to £31,550 per annum inclusive

City of London Freemen’s School is a thriving independent co-educational day and boarding school, with a history spanning nearly 170 years. Situated on the outskirts of the pretty village of Ashtead, Surrey, Freemen’s is known for the quality of its education provision, whilst ensuring that students are well supported and encouraged in a nurturing, yet academic, environment.

Following a year of unprecedented success, we are looking for an Events and Marketing Officer to support the School raise its profile even further – both in the local area, the Boarding community and more internationally. On the back of the exciting Freemen’s Global initiative, this postholder will be crucial in supporting the School raise its visibility even further on the international stage.

Reporting to the Head of Communications and Marketing, and situated within the bustling External Relations department, you will have expertise in providing superlative customer service to a wide range of audiences, and with experience in marketing and events management roles. You will have a desire to improve the customer experience of prospective and current families through exciting and well-organised events. You will collaborate with the Marketing and Communications Officer, and Digital Marketing Officer to produce marketing collateral to reach new audiences for Freemen’s and Freemen’s Global, and bring your creative flair and passion to these tasks.

Normal working hours are 35 hours per week Monday to Friday, based in the School in Ashtead Park, with the expectation to attend a number of marketing events which may take place out of typical hours, as required.
