Marketing Officer

Marketing Officer
Part time: 18 hours per week, term time only. Precise working hours to be agreed with the successful candidate but the primary working days will be Wednesday-Friday.
Actual Pro-Rated Salary= £9,121 per annum

Benenden School, one of the leading independent schools in the country, is looking for a part-time marketeer to join our busy and thriving Marketing Team.

This new role will take responsibility for producing our two weekly bulletins. The Staff Bulletin shares key information and updates with our staff body, and the Parent Bulletin blends information with news, highlights, picture and video of the School’s week into a comprehensive digital newsletter that gives parents a strong insight into their daughters’ lives at Benenden. These publications are produced every week during term time and are produced to tight deadlines and, as you would expect from a premium school, to a very high standard. The role would therefore suit a candidate with journalism experience or a background in media publications.

In addition, the new Marketing Officer would support the rest of the team’s work where possible, with tasks such as writing news articles, taking pictures, updating the School’s social media platforms, offering administrative support and helping produce our other publications.

It’s an incredibly exciting time to be joining our fast-paced environment. In addition to the recent opening of the magnificent new School Hall and Music School and the subsequent launch of our commercial events brand, Hemsted Park, we will shortly be opening our first international school and have a wide range of events and initiatives planned to celebrate the School’s centenary year from September.

The many benefits of working at Benenden include all your meals being provided while on duty, free use of the gym and swimming pool and the chance for strong career development as part of a friendly and ambitious School team based in 250 acres of beautiful Kentish countryside.

For a full job description and to apply, please download the application form from our website www.benenden.school . Completed applications should be sent to People Services at recruitment@benenden.school by 9.00am on 22 May.

The post-holder will be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children with whom they come into contact. They must ensure compliance with the School’s Child Protection Policy Statement at all times, this appointment will be subject to enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service checks. Benenden School is committed to equal opportunities and equal pay for all employees. Whilst Benenden isn’t accredited to the Living Wage Foundation, we do look to the Living Wage for guidance and our starting pay is currently in line with this.
