Taunton School was founded in 1847. It is an independent day and boarding school with approximately 1,150 pupils, aged from 0 – 18 years, with circa 400 boarders. We aim to challenge, nurture and inspire young people to succeed in a global community.

The exciting new role of Marketing Officer will be a key member of the busy Marketing department and report directly to the Head of Marketing. Working within the guidelines of the overall Marketing Strategy this role is responsible for brand management, print and advertising, press and editorial. In addition the role will lead on marketing events and work as part of our dynamic and friendly team of five to deliver and first class service to the School.

Ideally applicants will have five years’ experience of working directly in a marketing environment, experience within an independent school would be preferable but not essential. This role will focus largely on the more traditional aspects of marketing but a sound understanding of digital marketing would be an advantage. There will be a requirement to be flexible in approach with occasional evening work as required and Saturdays on a rotation basis.
