The Registrar is a key member of the School and is primarily responsible for the efficient organisation and administration of all admissions, from initial enquiry through to the student joining the School. In addition the Registrar is responsible for promoting the School through building strong relationships with prospective parents and students, through contact with feeder schools and running open days and other marketing events.
We seek an experienced and enthusiastic professional with proven experience in educational admissions, and excellent organisational, interpersonal and administrative skills who understands the exceptional qualities of a St Helen and St Katharine education. This is a senior post and one which is key to the continued growth and development of the School. It is crucial that the post holder has excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, can present professionally and is able to maintain a high level of efficiency and remain calm under pressure. The Admissions team is the first point of contact for prospective parents and students and therefore a professional, warm and friendly approach is essential.
The successful candidate will take up the post no later than the end of January 2021. This senior role of Registrar will be a visiting member of the Senior Management Team (SMT), attending meetings as required by the agenda. The Registrar will report directly to the Director of Communications and Marketing, and will line manage the Admissions Officer, delegating responsibilities appropriately. The Admissions Office is also supported by a part-time member of the School’s Administrative team.
This is a full-time, full-year post and will include evenings and Saturdays as required by admissions events.
