Director of Marketing, Admissions and Engagement
Crosfields School
Crosfields School is seeking an exceptional strategic leader for the new role of Director of Marketing, Admissions and Engagement at a particularly exciting time for the school. In 2027, Crosfields will celebrate its 70th anniversary, become a 2-18 school for the first time with the addition of a Sixth Form, and increase its roll to over 800 pupils.
Crosfields is a thriving independent co-educational day school with impressive facilities situated on a green and spacious 40-acre campus close to central Reading. The school has grown substantially in recent years, extending provision to GCSEs in 2021, and adding Little Acorns Nursery for children aged 2-3 years in 2026. From next year, Crosfields will offer a seamless educational journey from Nursery through to Sixth Form. The school combines academic ambition with a broad, future-focused education that encourages pupils to discover their strengths, develop their character and embrace new opportunities.
The Director will report directly to the Head and, as a member of the core leadership team, will play a pivotal role in helping to shape the school’s future. The successful candidate will provide inspiring leadership to a team of marketing and admissions professionals to develop and action an integrated pupil recruitment, retention and marketing strategy across all key entry points. They will act as a prominent brand ambassador for Crosfields, raising awareness and articulating its distinctive ethos, values and educational vision to a wide range of audiences. They will also champion a stakeholder engagement and communications strategy to build strong relationships with alumni, current parents and the local community.
This is a high-profile leadership position suited to a dynamic strategic marketing professional who can demonstrate effective leadership skills, extensive marketing and communications experience, commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills gained from within or outside the education sector.
Salary: highly competitive, depending on skills and experience.
