The AMCIS Diploma in School Admissions Management is recognised by independent schools as the only sector specific qualification for admissions personnel, the Diploma is highly regarded and sought after.
As the sector has evolved, so has the role of admissions in schools, and as such the Diploma in School Admissions Management delivers the most cutting edge, relevant, informative and up to date course for those looking to gain experience and knowledge of admissions in the Independent Schools sector today. Designed to equip admissions personnel with an in depth understanding of the processes of Admissions Management and provide a framework within which to effectively manage the success of their school’s admissions programme. The course provides an opportunity for candidates to assess their own skill for the role and take time out to reflect on current practise and examine new ideas and approaches.
The Diploma in School Admissions Management has been developed as a course for those currently working in admissions roles in an independent school. Ideally suited to those new to the admissions role but also those who have taken on an increased admissions responsibility and need to expand their knowledge and develop their skills. For those with more experience, the Diploma allows time to reflect on and consolidate their knowledge and skills and ultimately gain a formal qualification.
AMCIS has passed the rigorous assessment process for our training activities to become an accredited CPD provider. This accreditation sets us apart as a trusted provider of CPD-accredited training and enables us to issue formal CPD certificates post-training courses, ensuring delegates can achieve mandatory and reflective CPD requirements.

In 2016 Kathy founded Pair Education and over the last six years she has been providing strategic admissions and marketing advice to a wide range of independent schools alongside speaking at a range of events in the UK and abroad. Kathy hosts an annual UK Boarding Schools Fair in Kenya and co-runs the AMCIS Diploma in Admissions Management. Former Director of Admissions
For over forty years Mary has lived, worked and been involved with several boarding schools. Over this time she spent 18 years as a boarding houseparent to both boys and girls; managed a school’s commercial enterprise company, sat on Senior Leadership Teams, travelled extensively for student recruitment, parent and alumni events and completed a ten-year tenure as a prep school governor. However, her primary role and passion has always been in the field of admissions, marketing and customer care. She was one of the first Directors of Marketing and Admissions in the sector, has been involved with AMCIS since its inception and she holds a Masters in Schools Marketing. Now mostly retired, she remains involved in the sector as a consultant providing admissions, marketing training and advice to schools in the UK and overseas and is a lead trainer for the AMCIS Diploma in School Admissions Management.
